How to fit car headlining for beginners

After booking a guy to do my headlining and being let down over and over again for 2 months, I gave it ago myself. I watched this a couple of times and gave it ago. Took me a few hours a evening over a week to finish it and it looks way better then I imagined. Thanks for the little tips, really helped me out

im glad you did this video jim it looks great i have 2 to do and its taken away some fears i had,the main thing is take my time,and dont final fix till its where i want it,great stuff im sure its spurred many diy restorers confidence.

Thanks John, When I was talking about doing the headlining all the feedback I had was negative - that I would struggle and not be able to do it. I made the video on the fly as I usually do! But I wanted to show that it can be done and as you said just take your time and prep - it'll be worth it!

Great video, I'm going to be attempting mine once it's back from paint somthing to remember is to always run you wiring loom for the antenna and interior lights before you start and alsi to pply any sound proofing. How did you get on with the c pillars is that separate to the main headlining on these?

Thanks Adam 👍 I had loom located long before the headliner but it's a good point. I haven't got an antenna on my cortina which made life a little easier! The C pillars aren't too bad but might need a little extra adhesive looking at them but they're removable panels so not the end of the world. I bought mine from the Mk1 Cortina owners club but I have seen Aldridge trim sell them also.
