I know a lot of people are self conscious about taking pills to help with ADHD, depression, or anxiety. I was talking to my mom about this the other day and she uses anti-depressants and i've been told that I need medication for an attention disorder and I got upset because I don't like know I need to take pills to be mentally more prepared during my days. However my mom said something that really helped. She said think of the pills as just a tool, something that you can use to enhance life, not something that you rely on to be the best you can, and that humans are just giant sacks of chemicals so its no shock that some people need a tool to screw in a loose bolt of concentration/anxiety. So idk this was random but it was a thought I had

Take your life like this, Let go of what the society tells you. Why? Society cannot satisfy you bc it is broken. Brokenness comes from many places like fitting in, identity, fear, love, appearance, and etc... What is important now? The important thing now is your own identity. Take ownership of yourselves and love it. What Joey says is on point. I myself have suffered from bullying, name calling, not fitting in, identity, depression, and anxiety for most of my middle and high school years. Now I am turning 22 and am leading 3 ministries, speaking to young people, school, songwriting, singing live, and a student government officer. Joey, I love that their are people like you in the world. Receive encouragement and cherish them Joey. i was bullied when i was younger. and believe me. Im now at college and that part of my life is totally in the past. That shaped me as the person iam today, that made my self steem grow, maybe it was bad when it happened but now its just something that beliee it or not helped me. I dont really care anymore what people say about me. Is not my problem. and right now you may think that you are never going to fit in. and maybe you wont. But whats more importante you wont care about it. You may even laugh about it when you get older. And dont feel like people is judging you. maybe they are but for just one second, theyre not going to think in ten years "dude do you remember that guy/girl who did that bla bla bla". people have 99 problems and watching you do weird stuff, or wear inapropiate things is not one. just think; in 5 years will this really matter? that worked for me. now idgf. btw i love your videos :D

I used to hate school, because I was always trying to fit in, and I got teased for it. Who doesn't. But now I love school because I quit trying to fit in. I just started being myself, and let me tell you. It works! I have a great group of friends that are amazing, and love me for me! I have one thing that might help everyone out. At school today everyone in my grade did an activity where the vice principal asked personal questions. If we related to the questions, we would take one step up (only if we felt comfortable to). My vice principal said, *"Take one step up if you think you have trouble fitting in."* Everyone stepped up. Literally everyone, including the kids I thought were so popular and cool and I was jealous of. Hopefully this will help you think better thoughts about yourself.

After freshman year of high school I stopped trying to be someone I wasn't and decided to be myself. It was the best decision I could have made and it made the other three years of high school a lot better. Great advice Joey, and I hope some people take it to heart

I have said it since I was 14 and I will say it again. I have been bullied and can relate. What I can’t relate to is the whole social order; why the hell do you guys care? You want friends? That is fine but don’t prioritize over it. Just go to school, do the work, get the boring shit out if the way and go home. Just go in, do with, and get the fuck out. I have been bullied and judged and laughed at but social order isn’t important and neither is popularity. If we don’t pass our classes which by the way will pretty much determine our future, I think I know what the hell is more important for n this situation.

I'm going to be honest I'm watching this crying because everyday I get called fat, ugly, weird, and spaz . everyday I try to be normal but I can never seem to fit in . Even as a senior in high school, I'm still trying to figure out who I am and where my place is with my friends and other class mates in how I present myself and how I dress, and I need to remember that what they think doesn't count.
