How to fit Japanese wood to a Belgium Browning A5.

Hi Art, inherited my grandfather's A5 (japanese). I use the gun for trap and hunting. It has stopped firing. Looking at shell the primer is barely getting touched. Was told the Japanese wood was softer and the wood in the forearm compressed letting the barrel and shell go to far forward.some shims were put in and I was told it's only a band-aid. Worked for awhile but back to same problem. Recently I was given a Rem 11. Serial number trace by Remington dates the gun to 1908. It has some nice looking wood, stock and forearm. So the question would be can I take the wood from the 11 and put it on the A5 with no fitting? Thanks

Ill be watching most of your videos and i subscribed but im about to reblue a couple a5s and what cold blue do you recomend i want them to come out like my dads belgiums thats never been shot i want them to look brand new!

I suggest going to shotgunworld the website. A5's had different bluing techniques depending on when they were made.

Send them to Art. They will look factory. I have several he's restored

Nobody mention old and newer A5. Old A5 has no quick load action and ctg. elevator in one piece. And bolt recoil spring tube welded in an angle. Never mentioned.
