Thanks for watching guys, i will eventually get around to some more engine mods and work towards getting it mapped properly but just trying to sort all the little niggles first. If you want to see more FN2 videos then please drop a like on the video and subscribe to the channel for more.

Thank you SO much from this video. I just bought one week ago a 2010 Civic Type R ( my first R ever ). And it also had worn out fabric. I like how that fabric looks like, the one you're using. I still decided to order an original one from local Honda dealer. That costed 91€. But thanks to this video, and you, I was able to get it very easilly, safely, and not scratching or breaking anything from cockpit. I didn't even know that that flap open that easy with those clips ( had 5 door 2010 Honda civic for 10 years and didn'n know it. I used to take always the whole middle console out in one peace. :( ) Saved ALOT of time and nerves. I like that you so carefully explain every little detail, so the installation process was very enjoyable, as it always should, when you're tuning or fixing your lovely Honda. Now the new gear gaiter is in place, shining as a new one. And if/when it worns out, I might install the same fabric what you chose. Since now I have a intact package ( from the original gaiter, one clip had broken, from where you seal it to the knob, from upper part. ) I really appreciate this video, and A.W.E.S.O.M.E. joy filled me when I got my own process done with only 15 minutes like a pro.

Now that was a challenge, the staples part near impossible. In the end I gave up, folded the tags over the plastic tabs and glued with Superglue. Thanks for the clue on how to get started, Superglue is do much easier than staples ...

Hi highly recommended anyone doing this to buy a hybrid racing shift collar when replacing the boot. It’s a really good bit of kit

The part where the gaiter doesn't sit firmly on the locking part is annoying to say the least lol, thanks for the video.

Hey man, Where can I buy the original gaiter with the rest of the stuff attached?
@LeadFootash234 жыл бұрын
Either directly from Honda or there are some on ebay. ebay.to/2zhDBKf

eBay. I would buy the completed unit for £41.99 next time, cones with the gaiter fitted to the bottom frame and top ring, it's lots more work otherwise.

Found the top plastic had cable tie around it and snapped off clip ... Lucky, found a bottom frame and top plastic on eBay ...

Car looks good. Have you had any dramas with the car since you’ve owned it? Been reliable?

Other than the drivers door handle falling off it has been absolutely perfect.

@@steviekfc1869 to be honest the door handle only fell off because i think it's had a scrape on the drivers side and the handle had been glued back on. Hopefully getting all the dents pulled out in a few weeks though and try get hold of a new door handle. The passenger side looks great but it looks like a bit of a shed from the drivers side 😂

@@LeadFootash23 Hah, happened to me car 2 years ago. It is a bit of a known 'problem'. I keep driving me car in the winter and it's just water gettin in there. Freezy temps just do the rest. After that, a propa repair with an industrial epoxy adhesive had to be done. Thermoplastics are not nice to deal with.
