Hi! Professional work! Hondas are great cars, unfortunately, the same and in the same place the Jazz can get wet after 10 years. You did a nice job. Thanks for teaching.

Good job! Also, thanks for actually showing the removal of the "door" card. I need to change the cable for the fuel filler cap on my Type S, that will help a lot.
@GeesDrive Жыл бұрын
No problem. I can see why people accidentally damage the door cards. The snag areas are the luggage hook and of course the power socket. Good luck 👍

Im really not looking forward to this.. found the same problem a couple of days ago. Dont have a clue how long its been going on. Car has just been parked up on the Driveway at home for 2 and a bit years. It doesn't smell the leaky water. So hopefully not too long. Just need some good weather now to do the Job. Never done anything like this Painstaking job on a car . So its worrying me. But realise its essential to get done, to limit rust/damage. Helpful video. Thanks for posting.. 👍

Good luck with it. It's not too much of a challenge if you have a full day with decent weather 👍☀

Ive had 8 Honda's and love them but leaking boots has been an issue with all of them once they get to a certain age. I shall be checking those seals tomorrow! Thank you 😊
@GeesDrive11 ай бұрын
Yes it's worth checking as it's so easy to get to. Since I fixed this, the leak is still in the front, must be coming from somewhere else too 🤔

@@GeesDrive I've sealed at the end of the roof rack bit and am now leak free! I hope that you sort yours out too. Thank you for the informative video. No more steamed up windows and cress farming 🤣

Haha! So glad you got yours sorted 👍 My problem looks to be at the bottom of the windscreen on the drivers side now, dripping down onto the accelerator pedal which is not ideal 🤦♂️

Type R EP 3 was mine dream car when I was young but actually FN as daily is also i nice to have as it has all you need as cruise control, ESP, ABS, climate.Looking at the end of the video that boot is actually the same in Civic Tourer models only smaller. Honda used that very same boot design and used it on later Tourer MK9 and hatchbacks all the way to 2016. I bought Tourer 1.8vtec low mileage 2014 only 53k and now for a Type R as daily. One thing to add Tourer Civic has more boot space then Passat or Octavia from VAG.

Always loved the Civic Tourer, especially when it was in the BTCC setup.

Great video. Just wondering did you put any sealant or anything around the top of the windshield after lifting the top rubber ? I have found it won't sit flush after lifting it off 🤔
@GeesDrive5 ай бұрын
I have since I did this repair but not enough to affect the top rubber. Just enough to seal the small leak where the windshield adhesive had started to perish.

Hi, did the bottom carpet just pull put once the 4 bolts were removed? Just about to do mine. It's like the lost city of Atlantis in there. I mean the carpet section under the first fold lift away section.
@GeesDrive7 ай бұрын
Yeah it's only held in with those 4 bolts, although I snapped one putting it back in so watch out.
@andrewfairclough560710 ай бұрын
What sealant did you use? Looks very good
@GeesDrive10 ай бұрын
Just standard seam sealer, then normal Granville black car sealant. There's a link to that in my latest water leak video mate 👍

Hi just watched your video and glad you got yours sorted Ive also got water coming in the boot checked the strips on the roof like you did plenty of rubbish there but have noticed when i open the boot water seeps through the plastic cover of the back window hatch so would it be coming through the top if the spoiler where it meets the window? Can you get the gasket like rubber trim that looks to go along there or should i try a outdoor silicone? any help would be appreciated.

From experience I'd get the underbody checked for corrosion by a professional before spending any cash on it.
@GeesDrive Жыл бұрын
Definitely. It's going to get a thorough going over in the summer. You had problems on one before?
@sportsmachinerr1401 Жыл бұрын
@@GeesDrive Ah that's great. Yep I've got a 2010 with 88k and it's pretty bad under there, some places need welding. A good indicator is the spring cup at the rear. super easy to check just Jack-up the car and remove the wheels. A few prods of a screwdriver should tell you if rust is an issue on your car. Of course there are other areas of concern but I think in general if that area is solid you may have a good one. Cheers
@GeesDrive Жыл бұрын
@@sportsmachinerr1401 Hey mate, I followed your guide and took a good look underneath at the spring cups and all over and it seems pretty solid, only some minor surface rust. Rear beam may need some attention but wanted to say thanks for your note 👍
