If you have one flange,to fit ,there is no need to two hole the flange. If you have another flange,or other fitting to add,then you have to two hole the flange.

You were the FIRST ONE that said anything about using a “level to square a flange on a vertical pipe”. That’s why I replied with a response stating how to square a flange with a level on a vertical pipe, which is what you were arguing against even though no one said shit about that….
