If you don’t have a razor blade, you can also fold the end on the metal piece, as the edge this won’t let it go through as the are crammed together :D

I literally sacrificed my fingers just to fix my left string launcher, my fingers had cuts everywhere because of the spring. Also reshaping the spring is so hard I still haven't fixed my string launcher. But great tutorial!

Hey man so I got my launcher like 3 years ago and I’ve been tryna find videos on how to fix it, they didnt work. So I gave up and now I’m tryna fix it again and your video helped me out a ton it turns out that the metal part in the middle was all bent and not like in a small circle like yours. Great video! I just found you and wii be a new subscriber!! My little one got his 1st string launcher 2 days ago and it broke yesterday. The string didn’t retract. The spring was misshaped after the first spin around the plastic piece. I think that’s why it stopped working. I’m trying to bend it into what it looks like in the video. I have a mild retraction problem. It doesn't fully retract by an inch but my bey doesn't fully stick so it's better that way. If it doesn't retract after a launch, I will just pull it a lil further and it works

There's a couple of tabs you have to push in. I do it with my nails, but it can be tricky! You may be able to pry it open, but that may end up breaking it🤔 I hope this helps 👍

I bought the pro series string launcher set and got it today. Right out of the box, the string launcher seems off pulling it seems stiff. And it doesnt retract smoothly

That's tough, for a smooth launch you need an unfolded spring.. it may be hard to work with, as the metal is sharp. Unwinding and fixing it may be too dangerous. It may be best to replace the spring inside 😮🤔

Start by holding the middle, then coil it around while still gripping the middle. To make it tight enough to fit inside, pull the end while gripping the coil. You'll feel it get smaller, then repeat the coil method.

I like to wind the string, then pull it until I feel it's taught; then hold on to the middle while I wind up the string again (I hope that makes sense)

Hi there, I venture to say it may be easier for the fake launchers as the spring inside is different. It's the same process, to attach the string to the handle, and the cord wind. The hard part is winding the string, but I'm sure you can do it 👍 thanks for watching and good luck🙌

That's how I felt in the beginning, but I assure you the hardest part is winding it back and installing a new rip cord, (I suggest a ring or Lego as handle if you can't drill it)
