I am so glad you were able to fix the Rhino while keeping the joint somewhat functional. The figure looks so nice, it would've been a major shame if the joint got compromised. I had a figure one time where the arm broke and I put too much glue on accident. Because of this, I had to keep it inside the box after that. Great tutorial here!

I broke my sonic figuers leg off but instead of using glue I went with a more creative approach and used red sharpie permanent marker and colored red around the broken area to make it look like blood as if he lost it while running (Note I already destroyed it by making it a custom Sonic.exe figuer)and now his broken off leg is an accessory to my custom broken sonic figure

My transformers prime Ultra magnus has a broken balljoint in the exact middle of the joint like before the ball itself,hopefully this solution works....

The joint in this situation is quite chunky and I am glad it worked. Generally, I use some kind of sturdy nail or small rod just thick enough not to split the plastic in the joint itself and lodge it through both ends of the ball joint peg then apply glue and usually it remains in place without bucking again. Just sharing my two cents.

My preferred method of repairing a broken joint on a figure is to first remove the joint from the socket using heat then to use gorilla superglue to bond it back into place.

That sounds like a good plan. I’m not sure that I would have been able to get that ball joint out for this guy but I will keep that in mind!

@@TheToyShelf try using a hair dryer to soften the plastic then use dull tool to scoop the ball joint out of the hole. Warning you could damage the plastic if it’s not soften enough or to much heat can warp the plastic. If the hair dryer doesn’t work try boiling it in water, I don’t like this method but some customizers use it.

Yeah, any force is gonna shear that peg back off. Drilling a rod into both parts _then_ using some sort of adhesive (solvent based adhesive is preferred but superglue works fastest) to connect it back together is much higher recommended.

I was trying to loosen up the joints on my marvel select figure and accidentally broke off the right arm of lady deadpool very upset about it... Ive should've been more patience but then i was using my oven for heat but i just wasn't patient enough 😭... But thankfully i found some super glue... Only had the figure for a few days 😅 definitely important to heat up the joints thoroughly wish i had a heat gun....

Cool guy, fun video, well edited filmed and lit, terrible fox however, the weight of that leg will keep snapping that joint forever, your best bet is to drill into the leg and the snapped button and insert a metal rod and then push both bits back together with glue so that it’s super sturdy forever!

Thanks for watching! I will give you that this is a pretty heavy figure and I’ll have to handle it delicately from now on but the joint can hold the figures weight. If it doesn’t hold, that will be an excellent next step, but for $1 it can’t hurt to try. There are a few of my figures where the fixed joint is now definitely the strongest part lol.

My Capt America's chin chipped off. I found the piece of his chin. Do I just use superglue or it'll ruin the paint? I also have those tamiya cement. Could that work better?

I would say superglue is probably fine, but less is more. You don’t want superglue gushing out all around the piece you are putting back on. The glue itself won’t ruin the paint, but it will harden like cement and never come off of you get it anywhere you don’t want to see it. You could also try a Matte finish mod podge. Works like a glue, dries clear and if it looks bad, it is removable with water.

It depends on the type of joint. If you check out my predator episode, the main one has a broken elbow joint that I glued and was able to push into a natural looking position, but his arm is stuck that way now. If you don’t mind it being stuck you can glue it, otherwise you may have to try and insert some kind of pin into either side of the joint.

Ca ne tiendra jamais, à la première manipulation çà re-cassera direct. Juste une réparation cosmétique ni fait ni à faire. Seule solution, extraire la boule (chaleur+vis dedans pour la retirer), puis la percer ainsi que la jambe pour y introduire une tige métal, en mettant de la glue sur la tige ET sur l'endroit cassé. Mais il faudra toujours faire attention. Autre solution, acheter un set de ball joint, ball shape de la même taille et l'intégré dans la cuisse elle même (en perçant et avec de la glue).

I wouldve heated the leg to get the joint out, drilled a hole on the joint and broken area, added a thick metal bar, glue, and put the joint back together, because with no support in the broken area, it'll just snapp off again due to pressure when posing the figure
