This is excellent timing. Just ordered a play arts Alphonse from fullmetal alchemist and got him today. It was sealed in package and the second I took it out leg snaps clean off. This is a huge help. Thank you for the tutorial.

This is kind of a late comment 😁 but a better technique for that Spider-Man neck was to use a drill to completely drill out the hole in spite of the glue. If you're still fixing action figures you should get your hands on some Lego Technic pieces. They have small ball joints and connectors that work great for reattaching broken limbs.

@@christphern hmmm....I think it's only the way they build these figures. They don't use good supports...and they snap like twigs. They should of used ball joints instead of these annoying little pegs. Most dolls have rounded joints...which prevents it from snapping. Dollightful uses a thread with an elastic, putting it through and it stays. Or wood...ie. a good popsicle stick.

Hey i know this vid is kinda old but i used a picture frame eye screw in place of your dental screw. I found a pack around the house or at your local dollar tree. Just cut off the ring part and it worked great, but i wouldnt have known without your great video thank you

The peg repair for Joker works really well in general especially if used as a last resort sort of thing. Its something I've done a few times in the past but never thought of dental hard ware O.o. My go to has been drywall nails(?) They're skinny and threaded nails so not only do they bite into the plastic but they work well with CA glue to fill in along the gaps in the nail itself. A second way is making a ball socket, a trick i found out by accident. Story time! I got hold of a Generations Arcee but didn't like the head so made a casting of the first edition TFP Arcee, but the problem is that the the ball joints were different sizes. Miliput and Blue Stuff only goes so far and while it is possible to get a good ball socket cast, it tends to be a pain in the ass. So I bored a hole that'd fit the ball peg then used hot glue and a bit of water to cool it so it wouldn't adhere to the ball joint. It was trial and error and while I was just hoping for rotation, but instead it turned out to be a fully functional ball socket.

Well, this has given me a little hope that I MIGHT be able to successfully make my repair, which is coincidentally enough a mix between the two. A removable head pin broken in exactly the worst place. My hope is to extract and reinforce the broken bit to keep it able to be swapped properly, but I expect it's going to need to be permanently fixed.

I got a SH Figuarts Hulk. His right leg broke off. Like, the peg or what ever you call it is fine, but there are these pieces that holds together around the peg that holds the leg on it. I have no clue how to explain it. I'm new at this. Anyways, I went to pose him. His leg legit just fell off. It broke the same day I got it in. I took him out of the package. Stood him up because I was busy and couldn't really enjoy the figure that moment. When I went to pose him behind my Captain America,Iron man and Thor, his leg just snapped. I have no clue what to do. I like the figure a lot which is why I'm extremely disappointed that it broke. Especially only using em only one time. This is why I can't have nice things 😂

Hey! If someone has any advice please let me know! My sister accidentally popped the leg off of her batman figure believing the extra parts in the packaging went into it?? I don't know for sure what actually happened. That's the story I was told. But the pegs are in perfect condition and I don't see any cracks in the connection points. I'm having difficulty popping them back together. I've tried using warm water to soften the connection point but I'm too scared to cause any stretching so I didn't allow it to soften too much. Just enough to where I can hold it without burning myself lol. That's all I've done and I can't find anything on this specific subject. I only know ball joint dolls through dollightful and that community. So action figures are new to me. Any advice is welcome. Even other videos you think may help
