I had tried the suggestions from several sites and none worked. It would repeatedly try to reregister the remote but would fail every time. Unplugging the TV for 60 seconds is what did the trick for me. Thank you!!!

THANKS SOOO MUCH! the 2nd part your say: "AS CRAZY AS THIS SOUNDS..." ACTUALLY WAS THE SOLUTION!!! Not that there was dirt in the buttons, rather one of the 'V' shaped channel changing rubbery buttons on the right was pushed and stuck in the cavity and after easily repositioning it with tweezers ALL IS WELL! Can't believe I see 195 thumbs down. THANK YOU AGAIN!!

After the "batteries out/unplug for 60 seconds" didn't do the trick, I tried hitting all the buttons several times. When I got to 3D, the remote started working again. I had known it still had some functionality because the mouse pointer worked, but nothing else. Now ALL the functions work. I can turn my TV on again. THANK YOU!!

Well done. Some of the Quick access buttons wouldn’t work. Removed the batteries, unplugged the tv, waited the 60 secs and it worked. All quick access buttons now work. 👍👍👍

The standard functions of the magic remote work fine but the wheel function, voice search function and mouse pointer do not. I’ve reset the remote and repaired - no change. The registering of the remote does not happen and connection is very unstable. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
