I followed your video exactly. Thank you so much! But, my water still come on. They guy at home depot said I might need to change the cartridge, but it's inside the wall covered by tile. There is a small hole 3inches or so. How can I get it out?

Any reason to worry about hitting an internal pipe behind the exterior wall when drilling the plate's longer mounting screws? My house with exterior stucco is on a slab and no way to access the internal fitting etc.

It's possible. You might want to install an access panel on the inside of the house, or get a scanning tool like the Walabot to understand what's going on inside the wall

@@TopHomeowner Thank you sir for responding and your suggestions. That Walabot is a cool tool. In case anyone is interested, the plate is 3/16" (4.75mm) thick and as received yesterday, it doesn't seem really malleable by hand and is quite rigid. The screws are 2 1/4" (not including the head). Seems too, this is generally used for a masonry application. The company did send me directions for use with stucco, so good for them.

it's so easy to install! I bought 2 at Lowe's and now I'll never have a wobbly outdoor water spigot again ever. note.... you could install it yourself, or ask your handyman to install it. Fast and a permanent fix!
