You’re the best! Thank you for posting this. I have been living with this problem for a year. Plumber replaced my faucet, I thought that was the problem. $200 per hour with 2hour minimum so that cost $400 plus new hardware. I was going to bite the bullet and call them again after living with this for 1 year. Found this video and tried it myself. I have never tried anything like this… I don’t even know which way to turn water off , mine seems to be rigged backwards. Had to do it twice because there was so much debris. @@DejarDetailing first thing I would do is make sure the waterline is turned back on. If they both are turned back on, I would then remove the handles on the sink. There should be a small hole on both handles and you will need an Allen wrench to remove them. You’ll find a mixer screen inside, and debris usually builds up there too.

I was dreading the idea of needing to pull my faucet out. It was not the aerator, but it was debris from underneath. Pulling off the hot and cold underneath the sink, tapping it out, I even ran some air from the top with the faucet in the on position and now the pressure is back. It does not take much debris for it to slow the flow. Fast, Simple and far better than pulling the faucet! Thanks for a great reminder!

Great video, right to the point. I had the same situation. Didn't know what the cause or solution might be. It only did this on the hot side of the kitchen faucet. I did this just as you showed, even took a paper towel and cleaned down in the valve area of the release valve, thinking debris might be sitting on it, as gravity has a tendency to do. It revealed sand in the bowl where the water flowed it back, and sand on the paper towel. I hooked up everything and it was works like normal again. I shared this video on Facebook, to help anyone else out there to find how to fix a similar problem. Sometimes we all struggle. This is the beauty of KZbin and social media. Thank you for the help. Debris was in the aerorater. I unscrewed it from the faucet by hand. I tapped the aerorater and a chunk of debris fell out. I put back together and water pressure is like new. . No tools or cost was needed. Praise God!!!❤️

Just fixed my low pressure hot water in kitchen sink with this tutorial. After pulling off the hot and using the cold to backflow a bunch of chewed up rubber came out the other end. It was a new faucet so maybe from the manufacturing process. But this video was perfect and to the point. Thank you from me but more importantly from my wife!

Keep good attention on your water hoses. If ruber came out, it’s possible that it was an o-ring. If that’s the case you’ll need to get a new o-ring. They are only about $0.75. If it starts leaking let me know, and I’ll help you put the o-ring in👍🏼

Im not certain what valve you have, but I’m thinking you are talking about a flowtite valve. Unfortunately I Don’t have any video recommendations for you. @@FixItFrench I’ve researched it till I’m blue in the face maybe if I explain it better that would help. The hot water has a metal clap connecting the plastic hose to a t shaped connector with one hose going to the dishwasher other going to the shut off valve all are connected with metal clamps so no way to unscrew I’m just concerned if I disconnect then I can not reconnect

Am I the only one who didn’t see a big increase in the water pressure? I honestly thought it was a gag video but I guess not. That being said THANK YOU for making this video. I removed the aerator for a clients faucet and I found several large rocks and other debris but there was no change to the water pressure when I was done. Checking the water lines for debris is absolutely brilliant and I’m going to try your method tomorrow. Thank you again for sharing your wisdom and knowledge as I am full of gratitude. Be blessed

Glad you decided that you will try it. There is also a mixer screen in most faucet handles. If they find a small hole on the handle, use an Allen wrench to take it off and the small mixer screen inside of that often gets debris as well. Hope that helps 👍🏼

Yo, sick sht. The faucet in the restroom had low water pressure from both the hot and cold sides. Removed the aerator and replaced it with a known good one from the faucet in the other restroom. Lo and behold, the aerator was clogged. Attempted to unclog it with some air pressure from a dust can to no avail. Just bought a new aerator from Home Depot for under $5. Problem solved! Luckily, it wasn't more of a fix than that. Thanks for the great video with excellent explanation and information. 👍🏽

Yes when changing new faucets, it’s a good idea to let the water run a few seconds before connecting the hoses. When the water shuts off, it builds up sediment and often times will get into the brand new faucet. Glad you guys were able to get it figure it out 👍🏼👍🏼

This whole time! I thought it was my pipes! So I just let it be for a year. 🙃 I would have to let it drizzle into a pot. So I can use it to wash dishes. But I followed this video. And dundundun. It was the aerator. I took it off, and omg there was so much debris! It works normal now. I'm starting to rethink my life. Lol like what have I been putting up with. Something so easy, could have been fixed months ago if I had bothered to look at this video. 😭😅 Talk about having the resources at your finger tips. I had trouble at first loosening it, I was turning it the wrong way. My bathroom sink was a tiny drizzle too. I cleaned it. I found out there's a female and male aerator. 👍 Anyway thanks for this video. Couldn't have done it without it. 😁
