Thank You for this video! My husband passed away 2 years ago and was the one to do all of these things around the house. So far I've learned how to do a lot, not willingly LoL. I agree with you on the hardest part being getting down then getting back up and I'm still in my 50's! :)

Hi Moho62, I'm sorry that your husband passed away, but you are stronger than you know. Learning to do things for yourself is evidence of a can do attitude. I'm impressed that you are learning new things, even if you don't want to LOL. Thank you for your positive feed back we enjoy knowing our video helped someone. Wishing you the best for your future.

You saved us from a high fee from our landlord. We hadn't even USED the clogged sink yet, as we just moved in, and they were trying to charge us! Turned out to be debris clogging the sink from the landlord replacing the windows. With your video, we were able to not get scammed by the landlord. Thank you!!

Excellent tutorial! My only criticism is that you didn't show how you got back up off the floor. I could really use some tips for that (age 71).

38 years old... 2 things were hard about this. Getting down there and getting back up lol 🤟. Appreciate the content you were a life saver. I actually found a gold ring from the previous tenant in my Trap. Wasn't a Diamond ring though, looks like a Gold Mens Wedding Band. So, working sink and an Ounce of Gold Richer lol 🤑

Than you for your informative video. I may tackle replacing new faucet and cleaning drain. It’s hard to get a plumber in my neck of the woods. I’m a 70 yr old female, but I go with the “if you can’t fix it, live with it” motto! And yes it’s the getting up that’s the kicker.

I'm a 72 year old widow and I agree with you on lots of stuff around the house! As long as I can live fairly comfortably, if something can't be fixed by me and some KZbin videos by helpful people like Wayne, then the next homeowner can fix it. This is an old house and will require a lot of upgrades and maintenance anyway.

Thank you, Wayne, for taking the time to show how it's done. Local plumbers here in Vancouver BC want $130 to come in and unclog my drain, and that's too much for me. So i'm going to give it a go myself. I may live to regret it, but I gotta give it a try. Your video is very helpful. 😄

I live in a Queenslander highset 100+ year old house in Australia (QLD) & today faced this predicament with my kitchen sink. I did everything what you said but still the water wouldn't go down. So I went under the house & found out it was the kitchen pipe was blocked, don't have a snake so I used me hose to clear the blockage. Thanks mate you just saved me 550 AUD

I like to take the dirty plastic pipes outside and flush them with the garden hose. Less messing with the nastiness and you don’t end up dumping the crud down another sink which could make it start to run slow.

@DIYwithWayne2 жыл бұрын
Your problem must be past the pipes under the sink. You can purchase a pipe snake, here is a link to some, amzn.to/3gp2zfU or call a plumber and they can clean the pipes for you. Good luck with your project and have a great day.

Is anyone confused with the Lefty Lucy, Righty Tighty concept?😁 He appears to be turning the screw to the RIGHT to LOOSEN it🤷 Righty tighty - except on a Tuesday & Thursday & if you are working under a sink - amiright, or amiright?😆

@@DIYwithWayne - yeah, I found that out when I replaced the old water lines last summer. Left notes on the inside ➡️⬆️⬇️↘️↙️, but this video threw me off looking at it from the outside.😁. Note: for the getting older folk - Remove an old sofa-like cushion & cover with a towel to keep it clean Place at opening of sink Place a dining chair next to side of cushion. When getting up - brace yourself against chair & sink edge to lift yourself up. Knee pads didn't work that well for me. I also removed (sawed) the center brace for easier access to plumbing. 🤷Its an older home.

What is your sink is still stopped up after clearing out the pipes?
@DIYwithWayne2 жыл бұрын
In that case, it must be something past the pipes just under the sink. You could try drain cleaners or a pipe snake. beyond that a plumber may be your best option. Good luck with your project and have a great day.

The fact that air is being sucked from the other sink and a tornado is forming is indicative of a clogged vent line.🤣🛫
