Hi, I had this problem and sadly the wiring from the switch to the electronic module is loose somewhere. There's also fraying on one of the wires. Dunno if it's for the tip or mendable

I go as far as testing everything is connected then decide whether to buy new, even under warranty I'd probably get the fair wear and tear chat

Yesterday I had the '3 red lights flashing' error thing on our FSA 90 strimmer battery. I thought of this vid and maybe it was the same fault, but no..I'd been keeping the cutting head in a plastic bag in the van cos it's always dirty, and condensation had got to the PCB. Dried it out, and voila! You live and learn with this battery gear...

I've had a terminal corrode from moister I guess, easy fix once noticed. Same as you you have a look and learn as you go👌 glad you got it running...try checking the spark plug first next time😂

I had to squeeze the trigger a couple of times to operate the blades and it turned out that one of the wires had come off the safety switch. There was also quite a bit of debris in the housing so important to blow out now and again. A really helpful video. Keep up the great work.

I had the 3 flashing lights on the battery. I removed the motor, opened it up and found two wires that come off the coils had broken from the spade terminal. I simply soldered them back onto the terminal and saved over £100 for a replacement motor.

Give it a go, go steady the first time you pull the switch out incase it's gummed up. Also check the 3 connections on top of motor incase water has got in and corroded but if no red lights it's always been that switch on mine. Good luck👍

Are the blades free to move? If seem ok drop the gear casing off and check that's free. Also have a general check of wires around the motor. Can't go wrong having a look, unless under warranty. Good luck 👍

The battery Stihl kit still comes with a two year warranty. Mine had an issue with the gearbox after 18 months so was repaired free of charge by Stihl. Just as well as the parts cost alone was over £100. Fortunately I didn't have to pay due to warranty, but these tools do seem a bit fragile.

Blades free or gummed up? Check inside gears make sure all free and all connections look good in motor. Top of my head 3 lights is it's stuck? Good luck🤞
