How To Fix All ION Portable Rechargeable Bluetooth Speakers Not Turning or Powering ON

This tutorial will show you how to fix any or all ION & ECOXGEAR Rechargeable Bluetooth Speaker that won't power on or turn on. The battery icon or indicator gauge is not charging or moving up.
To clear Bluetooth on an ION speaker, you can try pressing the Bluetooth or Bluetooth Disconnect button on the speaker. This will restart the pairing process and you can try connecting your device again. You can also try these other methods depending on the model of your ION speaker:
ION portable speakers
For smaller ION speakers like the Dunk or Helios, you can try holding down the Play/Pause buttons for two seconds.
ION Audio Geode Rock Speakers
You can try turning off the speaker, then turning it back on, and attempting to connect via Bluetooth. You can also try turning off Bluetooth in your device's Bluetooth menu, then turning it back on and attempting to connect.
ION Audio Pathfinder Go
You can try pressing and holding down the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons at the same time for 5-10 seconds.
ION Audio Total PA Ultimate
You can try holding down the Control Knob for five seconds.

I have an ion tailgater, it’s fully charged and works with it plugged in, however, without the cord it won’t turn on, it says that it can be used without the cord but for some reason it won’t come on

That means your battery is totally dead, check your battery for correct voltage with a voltmeter.

My pathfinder shows it’s charging. But when it’s fully charged and used it the battery drains in about 15 minutes. I removed the battery and it tested 12 volts. What do you think the problem is. Please help. Thanks.

Testing out a battery with a voltmeter doesn't mean it is a good healthy battery. You must put a load test on it if it drain fast then it's not holding a charge when you have a load.

I think that may be the issue I am having . First, the battery stop charging so I could only use the speaker by keeping it plugged in to a power outlet, but today I plugged it in and powered it on and it would not turn on at all any longer. Would a new battery fix the issue ?

The fuse is located on the red (+) wire, which is wrapped in the black heat shrink. Cut it open and see if your fuse is burn, and you might need a new fuse and a soldering ion/gun to solder the wires back together.

I just very recently last month bought a pathfinder go when i turn it on then the power shuts off at about 5 seconds. I do have it linked up to my other pathfinder go occasionally that one does the same thing I tried doing a factory reset it still has the same issue whats going on? Where can i go from here?

If your pathfinder is plugged in and it works then it's the battery issue.

Over charging the battery or leave the battery uncharged for a long period will cause damage to the battery.

Hi can you give me advice. My ion tailgater flash only works when plugged in even though it’s supposed to be rechargeable and when I unplug it the speaker immediately turns off and when I have it plugged in it shows that it’s fully charged and I don’t know what to do

The sound on mine goes up and down by itself. Any ideas on what could it be?

Check if both up and down buttons are stuck, do you hear clicking sound when press up or down volume.

For everybody what changed the battery when there is no fix there is a break fuse in + cable of the string to te accu change it, but also check why it broke.

Does it power on after replacing the battery? It could be the charging board is bad or bad battery. Make sure the specification is the same for both batteries.

@@macdaddypimpping This is probably the 3rd time I changed the battery in 7-8 years. It ran off of the power in the new battery but ran down even while plugged in. Going to break out the multimeter then rip it apart I guess

@@macdaddypimpping that doesn’t make sense. You would think it would get power straight from the outlet when plugged in.

@@MyJLV It runs off of 12v so the dead battery draws the voltage down and it won't work. Mine was doing that and the battery voltage was 7V. I didn't realize that leaving it plugged in overcharged the battery.
