Thank you for a very good comprehensive video. I have an Epson WF-3640 and a Large format WF-7620. The 3640 was used more often so it does print, but maybe at a 50% satisfaction rate. The 7620 has been sitting for about 2-1/2 years and when reconnected it printed blanks using Black only and also using Color tryouts. I followed your instructions and Black/Color print will not even show any output. This result was tried with installing brand new ink cartridges. These printers look brand new still and mechanically function perfect. Is there anything else that can be done before Recyling them.

If the print quality is still not good after the troubleshooting, it is possible that the print head is defective. You may contact Epson to see if they can send you a replacement print head if it is still under warranty or buy a new one from them

I bought brand new ink cartridges for my Canon inkjet mg3620.. Every single color and black but didn't print anything for a long time. I put the cartridges in and haven't printed a single thing since. I needed to print a black and white text document a few weeks ago to take to my Dr. I took the cartridges out before trying to print because I figured they'd be dried & made sure the ink was coming out. (I took a syringe of hot water and squirted it in until the ink would come out on a paper towel.. It didn't take much water at all to get them going). Anyway, then I put the cartridges back in and attempted to print a test page but the printer wouldn't even do it bc it said the magenta ink was too low!! I never printed a single thing after replacing all the cartridges, yet the stupid printer said the cartridge was empty!! I understand ink can dry out, but it wasn't difficult to get the inks to flow into a paper towel, so I know the thing wasn't empty!! I wish I'd known not to put the cartridges in til I needed to print something. Now I doubt there's anything I can do to make my printer actually print (even black and white) without buying another magenta cartridge!! Since the chip on the one that's in it is already associated with it being empty. Wish I'd known what a scam inkjet printers are! At least for ppl who don't print things often. They should be required to state that on the box, so consumers know what they're getting into when purchasing an inkjet printer! I'm so annoyed with the whole ordeal. I really needed to get that info to my Dr! I can't afford to buy a cartridge right now, plus I imagine (if it's anything like previous experiences, the printer will end up telling me another color is empty right after I replace a cartridge.)
