Hold the power button and say "open settings". and if you dont have that option on, which you should because it's very helpful. And if you dont just say "hey google" or "ok google", "open settings". That should work as long as you don't say it near a google speaker!

Something that worked for me on my Samsung was pressing the power button and that would let you talk to Bixby or your phone assistant. Then you tell it to reset your phone and you say you are sure this works and you don't have to touch your screen when it does not work.

I think you can do that by pressing the power button and volume down button at the same time and work from there. Look it up if you're unsure.

Then use volume buttons to move up or down to the thing that says "factory reset" and press power button to select, then after it's done do the same to "reboot device" which will still be at the top of the menu open.

now i know why my screen wasnt working its because i turned on the "increase touch sensitivity"... my phone's screen not been working for 5 months but when i saw this it actually work thx so much! how did i go to settings when my screen isnt working? well i basically just hit the screen hard (which i wont recommend) i hit the screen in front and at the back like 20 times and then i opened my phone then i quickly turned off the "increase touch sensitivity" hope it helps!

this is a very late response but just hold the power button until you see the phone restart and the google logo comes. Then you can let it go. That is a soft reset!

Another big way to speed up any android phone is to clear your cache and RAM. It's crazy some people don't know this in the modern tech age but regularly cleaning your phone makes a huge difference. I'd recommend at least once a day using a free RAM cleaning app but if you use your phone heavy, twice or three times isn't a bad idea.

@@paulyares88 well I bet that's the caused of it, cuz my phone literally kept falling on the ground. So I was thinking probably the LCD damaged the touch sensitivy sensor or sum kind of stuffs that was also connected to the power switch button. If it was the LCD all along, well I should change it.

I'm hoping someone can help me, the thing is, my phone screen does NOT respond to touch in any way shape or form and i don't have a power button, like the actual button fell out, I can use a little tool to press in the power button slot to turn it on, and I can hold that and the volume button to "reset" it but i have to click reset on my screen and I can't do that, I have no idea what to do. I had dropped my phone in water the other day and I thought it'd be the water messing it up, but I've had my phone in rice for a while, the screen will respond SOMETIMES, on and off, one minute it'll work the next it won't. I am using huwaei p smart 2021. My phone was on charge after I remove the cod. My power button was not working after some time screen light turn on but the touch wasn't working totally. I force restart my phone then it works every thing was ok. I was using it for 5 minutes. Then when the screen light turn off the problem occurs again. Touch isn't working. I got the new update 12 yesterday. Got the same problem...screen not responding...I was just being able to scroll navigation bar down. Restarted phone many times but in vain. But I realised where the problem was. If you guys are using "always on edge" app...just disable it...everything will become normal. I've done it...but it sucks you wont be able to use AOE again. I got a S20 plus, and it's glass was cracked, and occasionaly it didn't work touchscreen, and the upper part of it is totally dead for touch, but it appears image. So i spread a tiny bit of isopropilic (99,8) alcohol and a bit of salt. i spread very gently into the glass cracks and surprisingly it works better, the upper part is stil dead to touch, but the lower ones are way better now, i can almost use-it normally using a mini bluetooth keyboard with mouse pad function
