A: So, to troubleshoot a computer that wont turn on, I would usually say to start with this video. However, an overheating computer can damage multiple components, make multiple components act in weird ways, and therefor makes it very hard to troubleshoot which components are the cause of the computer not turning on. Q: My computer had a liquid spill. Will this video help me?
A: So, to troubleshoot a computer that wont turn on, I would usually say to start with this video. After a liquid spill, you want to first make sure the computer is 100% dry. You would turn your computer off immediately by pressing and holding the power button until the computer turns off. Then you would disassemble the computer as much as your comfortable with, at least trying to remove the bottom case. Then you would turn it on its side and let dry for a couple days. Have you done this yet or are you sure the computer is dry?

Did all steps you mentioned. 1. Battery removed 2.Charger removed 3.Reset BIOS Laptop turns on but then turns right back off. It did turn on a while back and it worked okay for some time, but then anytime you turn it off, good luck. Now it will not stay on at all.

If, after trying all these steps multiple times, you have not been able to find the issue, your most likely looking at a faulty component preventing the motherboard from working or a motherboard issue. I would start troubleshooting each component, starting with the charger and power jack. You can see those two videos here; kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3PLpIl-nsmYfac & kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqHEk6mog8aimrc. You can also try replacing other components like your Power Button to see if that is the route cause. If none of those are the issue, you would then be left with a motherboard replacement.

also hi, can you help me? didn't work on mine because it had a different issue. i don't know what this means but whenever i plug in my laptop, it turns on, then shut down immediately after 3 seconds, but these 3 icons at the top still has their lights on and the middle one blinks for a while and then stay lit icons are all in padlocks, the left one has a nine inside it, the middle one (the one that blinks for a while) has an A in it, and the right one has an arrow pointing down in it

Allah saved my life by you!! To be honest, my laptop didn't have a black screen, the sceen was lightened and on but it wasn't responding and i couldn't see my apps. my laptop doesn't have any attached battery to be openned. But i unplugged the charger and pressed the power button(just as you said) until the video was at 4:00 and voila!! The laptop turned on and i screamed!

I have an hp elitebook, it ran into a cycle of turning on, fan runs, cap lock button glows and then resets. I followed all your steps but I took another advice. First try I had the cmos battery ( 15 mins) disconnected , laptop battery disconnected and internal power discharged via power button it didn't fix the issue. In the 2nd try, I followed another advice, kept all these things disconnected and even disconnected my laptop keyboard. I started the laptop connecting everything back up without the keyboard and it worked. (on start up I did get an alarm saying cmos reset white screen) And it worked.!! Cleaned up the pins of the keyboard and now everything is back to normal. Thanks for the advice saved me completely now I can submit some overdue office work.!
