In this video, I will be showing you how to troubleshoot a laptop that won’t come on for one reason or the other. So you’re left with a blank or black screen with nothing on the display. I come across these situations quite a bit, so I decided to start recording my troubleshooting processes and sharing with you guys here on this channel.
There are several possible reasons why your laptop might not turn on, some major and some minor so certainly, some repairs are easier than others. What I will be sharing with you in this video and in subsequent videos in this category are some repairing tips and approaches to troubleshooting these kinds of issues in case you’re having one yourself. And if at the time of watching this video I have made the follow-up videos, then you can also check them out to see if any of them matches the situation of your laptop in case this one doesn’t.

Flip your laptop around and find a small hole there is an icon battery and use a needle press it down for 5 second . Than it can turn on. It is call battery reset works for me plus not all laptop have the hole at the back panel. For me I am using Acer and battery can't be remove and I think majiority laptop also have this small hole

Thank You. It worked for me. 1. All I did is removed power plug, battery. 2. Pressed power button for 10 seconds. 3. Removed RAM. 4. Put on battery and power plug without RAM and pressed power button. (It starts with beep sound). 5. Followed 1-3 steps again 6. Done some cleaning with cloth on RAM and its slot. 7. Put everything back and connect power supply. It then started and worked normally. 8. Finally I ran some inbuilt tests of dell to ensure I have no other problems.

My mom and I were extremely problematic on where to get another laptop for my online class since there's no money and we can't go outside. I've seen this problem before but it makes no sense why the screen won't come on if there's a problem with the RAM. You'd think it would boot and at least get to the BIOS screen and tell you what the problem is like in the days of Windows 95 when you got bad memory codes.

Very useful video. In my own case, the power LED stayed on for a couple of seconds before going off. Tried draining the power as suggested but no change. Couldn't open it up checking for the RAM since I'm not a techie. So, what do you suggest?

Yeh mine too It had the lights on for about 30 secs so i decided to turn it off again, then it lit for only 2-3 secs again when i turned it on again

I can turn it on when it is on a charger but if I remove the charger it instantly turns off

Luka Stojanović buy new battery and always remove charger when laptop is fully charged. over charging weakens ur battery. ✌

Thank you so much! I just clean my ram and hd then leave it for like 30 mins and when i came back it works... I left it for about 30 mins because it was not working. But when I came back and I plugged in the adapter it automatically turned on. Was shock actually. :)
