There is one more “Tip” to fix an Apple Pencil. Take a look at that tip. I have had an Apple Pencil for about a 2 years now and it has, unfortunately, been dropped multiple times. If the Tip looks like it took the brunt of a fall - then replace it. Apple sells a box of 4 for just under $20. Even if the tip doesn’t look bent, if it was working, it was dropped, and now it’s not working, Try all this stuff, but in the end, replace the tip. Worked for me! 😎👍

Thank you! I followed all the tips and nothing worked until I removed/forgot device in blue tooth then connected it again. Not sure if that single tip worked or if I needed to go through the whole sequence, but I’m up and running and grateful !!

My Apple Pencil pairs but won’t write. I ordered genuine apple tips and replaced the tip. I unpaired and repaired. I turned my iPad off and on. The software is up to date. I even let the Apple Pencil die and charged it to 100%, unpaired the Pencil then tried to pair it. Still not working.

hey, my issue is that when i'm trying to connect my apple pencil it rapidly switches between not connected and connected, and the charge is rapidly going up and down. i've done all of these before watching the video and nothing else has a fix.. could the apple pencil potentially be damaged? the package had dents and the apple pencil has a scratch, but its been working completely fine until now. update, it's 100% an apple pencil issue since i tried it on multiple devices and it still does this.

So mine WORKED with one solution. I tried all tutorials from all the sites and absolutely nothing worked. What I did to make it work was to take care to follow all the steps that apple support already offers (download the latest update, closing and opening the bluetooth, try "ignore the device" and connect it again, unscrew and screw back the tip of the pencil). After you have made sure that you have tried all these methods, perform a forced reset (press the volume up button once, the volume down button once and then the close button and keep it pressed until it closes and restart the tablet without taking ur finger from the button). While resetting the tablet, keep the apple pencil sticked to the iPad. After resetting, connect the pencil again and leave it attached to the tablet while charging for 6 hours. DONT take it out earlier than that. Both the tablet and the pen need to be charging. Do not move the pen or tablet and it should be working. Hope it works for you as it did for me.

Ummm so I need some help…… I tried all of the methods in the video and none work. My Apple Pencil is a 2nd generation one and my ipad is iPad Air. When I place the Apple Pencil on my ipad to connect, the blinking “Apple Pencil” sign does appear, meaning the ipad does notice the apple pencil’s presence, but no matter how long I wait, it just doesn’t connect.
