I did all you did in the video and still have an indication that the boot is open!

Okay, so on the original connector there should be four wires, starting from left it should be a yellow, gray, black, purple. The yellow wire is a ground connection going to your light in the rear compartment. The grey wire is also a ground going towards your instrument cluster that will tell the computer that the boot is closed. So if you have a measuring device, you should be able to measure if there is a connection between the chassis of the car and the pin in the connection port on the tailgate lock There should be a connection on the left pin when the boot is Open, and there shouldn’t be a connection on the second pin. When you close the boot, there should no longer be a connection on the first pin, but now there should be a connection on the second pin. You don’t have to close the boot to measure. You can just put a screwdriver in between the lock and push so you simulate if the boot is closed.

@@RasmusSunshine I installed a new lock and as I couldn't find a new connector with wires or even just a connector, I got it for another Fiat grande that was in a car crash and the guy just cut off the wires with the connector and gave it to me. His boot lock prior the crash was working normally and there was no corrosion on the connector or the lock, the connector and the wires were on eye almost brand new. Before cutting the old wires, I checked which wire goes where and spread them out and connected them the the new wires! The lock of the boot works as before, you can open it remotely from the fey or from the inside from the button on the dashboard. After the repair it's showing the same issue as you turn the ignition, the message the the boot is open and it disappears after few seconds, but the red door on the dashboard stays lit as if the boot is open, when it's actually closed. I also pulled the rubber on the wires that come out from the roof on the left side into the boot door and the insulation looks clean and nothing broken. Don't know where else to look!?
