I have the same bike. Sometimes you have to take drastic measures. Mines is 600 miles new haven't been able to enjoy it in a month. Only had it two months. Thanks for the video guys

I have broken so many bolts and finally the bikes mounts gave out...took the engine off to find the stock bolt were 2mm loose inside the engine mount holes. Ended up looking for a m10 bolt but couldn't find one with a shank that length..looks like I'm going to be doing exactly what you just did! Just freaking weld a 10 mm rod to keep it all together. Should be bullet proof and vibrate less!

Crazy exactly same here I realised the m10 bolt was a better fit than the origanal m8 bolt so I got m10 bolts 120mm long but I'm in England

Same issue check video to see the rig i used to try to fix my top mount breakage issue. Still shaking in 4th gear. Going to try a thicker top mount bolt or makeshift bolt thick enough to stop the shakes.

Ive come close to having the area around the hole where the engine mount bolts go crack and break all the way thru on a 10+ year old scooter that was ridden in rain and left outside for years, but never had an engine bolt shear. I was thinking if I ever do have a bolt shear maybe instead of welding I would maybe drill the hole out and use rubber grommets in the mount holes for new stronger same sized bolts to go thru or leave the holes the same size, add grommets and smaller stronger bolts --because IM assuming grommets, if tight against the bolt would really help with impacts from rough roads or wheelies--I thought about welding but unless you do a very good weld job...and even with a good weld job and the cheap metal around the mount holes --wouldnt that cause the areas on the engine mount brackets to absorb all the stress of the engine weight with it heating and cooling and oil shifting and the weld or area around it==wont it crack? I would imagine especially if you ride in all that rain, unless you waterproof paint it you will also get rust and probably have the welds or around the welds crack in a couple years/10k miles or less..? just a guess tho--pretty much whatever you do riding in rain with the cheap clone paint the metals will take a "weathering" kinda badly...but in my experience if you sort of baby the CHina bikes, no stunts, no offroading try and stay out of the rain do basic oil changes and they can last many 10's of thousands of miles mostly stock

Hello my friend. What size metal rod did you put in the mount holes? And what type of metal. Im going to do the same on my bike. On my channel ypu can see if suffered from the same problems

What is the bolt sizes? And are the top and bottom the same?
@dk-rva49295 жыл бұрын
depends on bike just looj at the size of the hole and go to homedepot/ lowes/ ace hardware/ or any store that sells a varity of bolts and get the right fit, the bottom should match the top but make sure on your bike before you buy bolts

No shit, I have a broken engine mount now... tried this and it raised the whole bike.. I need the engine up maybe 2cm for it to align. It's the back engine mount. Front is fine. Thoughts on how to raise it to make it align???
@dk-rva49295 жыл бұрын
Bend the metal bracket if possible, I can't give too many tips without seeing the bike but I would bend the bracket 2cm and hopefully it raises up the motor

Are you serious?.. No dont do this ever! -.- Just take the engine out, weld and redrill thick washer on the pointing spot to give it more support surface area and get new bolt. If it snaps again, it just shows there is loose bolts on other engine mounts. Tighten those properly, put a dap of tread lock on them, use nyloc nuts and maybe get 12.8 hardness bolts. Welding peace of round bar there only creates headaches when you eventually need to take engine out. Loose engine mounts with enough torque and impact can crack the engine case. To prevent this you can add new frame peace from bottom engine mounts to top tube with ears and barrel connection so it can be taken out for engine maintenance and put reinforcement from that frame to cylinders bolting holes that the bottom armor on china dirt bikes attach. This has also added benefit of having mud guard so engine wont be caked in mud and have limited cooling capacity due this.

My MT125s mount is about few millimetres off the frame mount but the bolt still goes in, is it normal? I see some threads are damaged but the bolt tightens normally.
