Hi,it’s me from the uk again,been watching the SSR build where you do the double petrol tanks,what you need is a small oxy/propane or oxy/acetylene outfit there relatively cheap now and give great results when used for brazing,it’s just an idea but the tanks with the end caps/joining tube and filler cap brazed on and then clear lacquered would of looked great,I do a bit of tig brazing and get great results,one thing I must say is the quality of the work you produce with the tools you have is astounding!,I know people over here with all the tools don’t get results like you,keep up the good work

Why didn't you bore and tap a vertical hole through the aluminum block and into the case to reinforce the epoxy bond? The rest of the repair looks solid, but that JB Weld might be a failure point in the future.

I am sorry about the break. I hope your fix works. But if even with all of that, you could get additional support by making a plate that splits your intake spacer-and is bent or forms a tee 90-degrees up/down to either make of strengthen the mounting you have. The mounting plate would be part of the spacer with gaskets on either side.

For future reference the original JB weld is always going to be stronger than any of the faster cure stuff.

I used regular JB, not the Kwik. It's just the version that comes in a syringe instead of tubes. Worse value, but very quick to dispense in similar portions.

Top tip for higher top speed. Replace your 19mm rollers for 20mm aluminium stock cut to size and drilled to get your best wait. This lifts the belt higher on the front pulley and can add over 8 mph.

You could have a screw vertical ( ;.I bought 2 sls systems.1 with a rubber hose 20$,and the sls exhaust,from Slovenia 50$+ tax,ship,costum.I`m always wrong,but one of this will remove comp.sound.And engine will cope Europe trips.No exhaust inside oil,and ventil out high comp.It is an oil-breather avaible to release pressure from inside engine too.Runs lighter(tuning).

Thanks. It's a CPI 1E40QMB case. I bought it as NOS from a CPI dealer that was on eBay for a while, but it's like the stock CPI cases from my Vento Triton.

This repair worked well for me, but I'm just supporting a small water pump and the amount of force that drive and belt tension puts on it basically. I'm sure you can figure something out, but the risk is higher for you and everything is going to need to be beefy.

Hello Brent! i just installed a 100cc big bore kit in my tao tao 50cc and the spark plug keeps shooting out! Any ideas why? i tighten it until its tight but it still keeps popping out after 5 min of riding.

Sounds like you could have damaged threads. Take a close look at the threads in the head.

I broke a thread on a Yamaha virago oil case (when unscrewing it)... How can I fix it? What can I use?

Depends exactly how it's broken and the details of the engine. If it's just stripped threads, then helicoil or Time-Sert or possibly drill and tap for a larger plug. If you broke the case like mine, then the first thought is; how difficult is it to replace. In some cases, the oil drain is on a cover and you can pull it off with just replacing a gasket and/or seal. It wouldn't make much sense to go to a lot of trouble if the part were available at a reasonable price and it was easy to replace. Otherwise, you may have to get more creative. You want to be careful with that repair though, because it would be dangerous if it fails and oil spills out while you're riding.

What people that aren't making videos don't get is that if I shorten things, I get questions or told to provide more detail. If I include everything to try to make it complete, then I get told less detail and too long.
