There are what look like split ring lock washers where the leg attaches to the top wheel. It’s preventing me from tightening that allen screw any further, so the part that goes around the shaft that sticks out is knocking back and forth. Will using an allen head bit on my drill help to remove it so I can reseat it? It’s not budging when I try to loosen it by hand. (Bought this machine used yesterday.)

I watched your tilt head episode for tabletop. I was searching for tips on pro ball head issues. On my snazzy K&F Concept tripod, with it's anodized orange accents, when you attach any forward weighted camera combo, you're holding the combo in as near accurate a position while tightening the head. What always happens is after your hand let's go, the camera lens combo tilts down a bit after. Always. You wonder if it's poor plate contact with the body. Right now my solution is too grab under the plate to set the angle with two fingers,using the pressure on your finger bones to set the angle under the plate, then tighten. Annoying on your fingers with any decent weight. Something else is needed to improve the technique. Besides taking pain killers first.

For me that 9/16, i had to impact the s*** out of it, and now it's pretty smooth.

I know it’s been a while since you posted this but I found your video because I’m having this issue. I did everything you said and the metal disc is scratched on the edge and that’s where the noise is coming from when it hits those parts, if that makes sense. Is there a way to get rid of those scratches or would I have to replace that? Thank you

Try using a file or sand paper to knock off the edge

The bushings and axle on the rollers should get a little lube too.
