How to fix Croatian Ak47 Magazine

The croats and cheap korean mags have loose floor plates. I just crimp them a little with some pliers. The mag body on the croats are thicker that the korean mags and seem to be of good quality. I don't have enough rounds on them to say yes but PSA had them for $12-13 with free shipping if you buy 10 or more. Good info though.

The newer Croatian mags seem to be a bit better than the old ones. I picked up a few from PSA and they fit and feed fine in my WBP and Zpap m92. My Galil Ace fits a little tricky with the rear lug and won’t lock if I’m not going in 100% straight. Good for a range mag though

A friend and I were trying out the older Croatian mags in his 1968 Wasr. 8 out of 10 fit.

It's an easy fix if they won't fit your AK... You just have to take a little metal off above the locking tab, because it is too thick. I don't mind the extra work considering the price of metal mags...

I am lucky enough I just place mags that work the best with the correct weapon. I like to avoid filing down my mags if I can avoid it.

I got a few of the newer ones and they would only fit in a VSKA without modification. Still won't fit PSA, but do fit the VSKA (with some wobble now) and also fit an Arsenal, Romarm/Wasr, and Hungarian FEG. The issue with mine were that they were too thick on the top of the mag. They just would not fit into the mag well. Needed a tiny amount of steel taken off.

Unfortunately everyone does the AK mag well a little bit differently. Which means when you go put different countries magazines into different country guns a lot of times they don't always fit.

@@madmarine1078 Well put. Definitely trial and error with AK mags on different pattern rifles. Not the Lego plug and play as with most ARs parts and bits.
