I have an old Brother printer that jams and crumples papers all the time. I cleaned it a bit and it was better for a day. I definitely need to do a more detailed cleaning of it. Either it is not gripping the paper well enough, or there are rollers not spinning freely enough.

Just saying Sometimes the printer will jam regardless of cleaning dew to one of the "lower plastic" rollers not making contact with the "top rubber" rollers they are supported by a spring so what you can do is wedge a piece of paper underneath the plastic roller that isn't making contact to give that added tension **just enough but not too tight
