So good to see you again! You are the most authentic, informative curly girl I've seen on this site as well as being enjoyable to watch. You genuinely care about which products you use and recommend...you understand how life is in the "real world" and the effect on our wallets. Thank you, Susie!!!

Hi Susie! So happy to see you again. You've made an excellent choice as a subject. Especially in winter, dryness is something I always struggle with. All my best wishes for 2022. Estelle from south of France.

With all those "sulfate-free" products around, it doesn't hurt to at least clarify-wash once to twice a month depending on how often you wash your hair. With a good strong sulfate. None of those "hip" clarifying shampoos that you see nowadays that are themselves sulfate-free and don't do a thing! My scalp is on the oily side, and my lengths (over the booty hair) are dry / drier and so I use drugstore items but get the conditioners or masks for dry/damaged hair as those are without a doubt the most moisturizing on the market!

Hello Susie!! You were my first curly girl influencer I followed. You recommended the biotera gel from Sally's and that was several years ago! Since then I've tried soooooo many different products and I always go back to the biotera gel. It's the only thing I use and it works for me here in humid Texas all year round. So thank you!

I love your minimalist philosophy. I had been using a curl cream under gel but my hair still looked dry after first wash day. I knew I needed something instead of curl cream . Never liked mousse, but I believe this suggestion is the answer over my gel. Your take on polyquats is genius.

Hey Susie!! Your hair is growing out so fast and looking great! I have found I love curls Blueberry Bliss leave-in that I use between conditioner and biotera. It seems to help with moisture and a bit of protein. I also have their reparative hair mask. It seems to be the best thing I've found for after a "reset." Plus it smells amazing!

I agree. That leave in is magic.

Glad to see you back here Susie! Your hair looks beautiful and healthy! Because of you my hair has really improved in the past year and a half! I was so excited about the title of this video because I have super dry hair that breaks off and tangles easily. And that's without ever using heat on my hair. It's just my hair type. I use Shea Moisture brand and my most favorite product is their Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen and Restore Leave-In Conditioner. This product really saved my hair life! Thought I would share that here to help others with hair like mine because I know how frustrating it is to have unruly hair that's hard to manage and tame. Also, living in Florida is not the best climate for curly, frizzy, dry hair. So if I can improve my hair in the tropics, anyone can!

Great to see you back! I don’t follow the CG method anymore but I am going dye free now so I’m kind of doing a natural hair re-start. So even though I’m not doing the CG method I will always watch your hair videos as I enjoy your advice and positive attitude.

I’ve really liked using Ecoslay’s Orange Marmalade! My hair looked super dry, it’s fine, but it was like I had NO HAIR😩. Anyway, I had some of that in my fridge and tried it again. It was exactly what I needed to fix THAT problem. Many more to conquer but that one seems okay for not. Thank you for making videos, you are my favorite hair KZbinr!

I don't dye my hair anymore due to scalp issues and covid. Now I have salt and pepper hair. I always thought I had straight hair but it seems I have wavy/very loose curl at times. Also now frizzy and thinning hair due to a condition I have. I am gonna try the products you are using. Don't want to blow dry or hot iron anymore.

I like Hask Repairing Deep Conditioner, which in larger letters on the label says "Argan Oil". They suggest using it occasionally, but I can use it every wash without a problem. The hair at the base of my neck is my main target for it. The hair always seems brittle there, rather than at the ends. I could get it in a 6 oz. jar at Walmart, but lately I have not been able to find it that way, unfortunately. It can commonly be found in 1.75 ounce soft packets, as they think you are just using it as a special, occasional treatment. They are wrong to think this. It's a daily use product when you're fighting winter-dry hair.

I'm not sure if it's dryness, but my hair looks less frizzy and feels stronger when I use a lightweight oil on it - both The Ordinary Argan Oil (it stinks! somewhere between blue cheese and a barn - but it's cheap and it works well), and there's a UK brand called Wild Curl who do a "weightless wavy oil" which is mostly grapeseed oil (lovely rosemary scent).

Hi Susie! I found your videos as I was searching for help with my curly hair that just got curlier with hormone changes (maybe now a little bit curlier than yours but similar) And my name is Susan! I love your channel and thanks for all the tips! I just bought Bioterra gel and it seems to be working well, but the formula has totally changed and it was different from what was listed in the sally and Amazon site. Just wondering if you have used the new version. It seems like the good ingredients have been moved further down and the fragrance is higher up in the ingredients list so the scent is strong. Since I never used the Bioterra before, I’m wondering if this new version is working the same for you? Thank you :)

When my ends get like that dried out by the end of the day I use Nexxus Humectress as a tiny leave in instead of rinsing out and it coats the hair well so it doesn't dry out.

@@CurlySusie No not yet but the shampoo does really strip everything off the hair. My hair is already dry but it feels the same after. It’s kinda expensive I feel for the little bottles. 🤷♀️That said my hair went from waves to ringlets I didn’t know I had..in one wash!
