The Shea Moisture silicone-free leave-in is currently $14.35 on Amazon; it's in my cart based on your recommendations and our similar curl patterns. Great review.

I know I’m late joining the conversation so summer is over….first so nice to see you :) second, FWIW if hair liked the marshmallow root you might like Camille Rose CurlLove Moisture Milk leave-in. It smells like crème brûlée and leaves my hair sooo soft. I also enjoy the CurlMaker gel, only it doesn’t protest against frizz so I am still trying to make it work because I love the definition it gives, the scent and the soft texture it leaves.

are you still growing out your hair as of 2024? If so would you ever consider making an update timelapse video? I think a lot of people would be interested in seeing how it grew month by month all these years if you’re still growing it out!

Sigh. All those videos are great and everything, but I wonder how the hair *normally* looks without any gel, diffuser etc. Do you have naturally curly hair and the gel just shapes it better? Or do you have wavy hair and the gel miraculously turns it into curls?

Hey, Suzie--1) it is SO SO good to have you back. You have indeed been missed. (And I'll probably say it a few more times, so get used to it 😆) 2) I'm happy to watch you do the same things over again. I'm luckily not in a rush any more, and it's nice to remember the details. 3) Your hair come out absolutely gorgeous that day. You've given me something to aspire to! <3

Love the shea moisture spray leave in. My only issue is every time the sprayer breaks on me and I wish they would put it either in a pump or a regular squeeze bottle top instead of the sprayer. However if you dilute it when you're down to the dregs it makes a great detangler spray.

I found your video after having my hair absolutely butchered by a stylist after I asked for just some long light layers. It had finally grown past my shoulders and I just wanted it freshened up and she basically gave me an awful shag cut with super short heavy layers on top. It's SO bad and frumpy looking. It left my ends so thin so I cut about two inches off just to make it look healthier. Now I'm just doing everything I can to grow this disaster out. 😭

I've been watching from the beginning before Wilson was born. So fun to see your boys. Loved this video. I have hair that's very similar to yours and often I just refresh the top because....no one really sees the underneath much. I liked seeing how much gel you used to refresh. I haven't used that much gel so that might be why I'm not so crazy about my refresh. This helps. I also think that mousse is a great refresher product. Thanks Susie!

I almost purchased that Redken line but it was to expensive. I ended up buying that same SM Amla line including the oil. I also bought the L'Oreale Everpure bond line. I read in several comment section that it is the same as the Redken but cheaper. I haven't tried any of the products yet and hopefully they work because my hair is dry and splitting everywhere. The reason why your hair felt dry with the SM Amla products could be protein overload.

Love these videos. Currently decluttering and nesting before my first baby arrives in 2 weeks! I love the flylady method- basically declutter 15 minutes per day. There are also challenges like a 2 minute fling- throw away 10 items in 2 minutes. A KZbinr I really enjoy and think you would too is Diane in Denmark, she is currently doing a declutter of her whole house as well.

Susie, I think you would really enjoy the decluttering method of Dana k. White. She calls it the "no mess" decluttering method, and it's specifically designed to not create upheaval in your entire room when life happens during the process of going through your stuff. She's here on KZbin and has several books if you want to check her out!

I've been refinishing some furniture in my family room recently. I never throw out good furniture If I don't want it, I offer it first to my children. If they don't want it, I offer it to friends for free on fb. (I have several younger fb friends that do not have a lot of money). Someone always takes it. My last resort would be donation and that's because they charge. If I can help for free, I do. Anyway in the process of refinishing I have cleaned out cabinets and such. I had piles of books that were too young for my grandchildren anymore and posted them on fb. All of them were taken and I had several responses and split them up. I am older, retired, and I would encourage young families to think about how they can make over usable items instead of getting rid of them. My refinished furniture turned out great and it's like new now. I watched lots of KZbin videos on current furniture trends. It was work but I saved myself a lot of money and I changed them enough that they feel completely different. (I had actually bought this furniture used many years ago at a local resale store.) Clutter in cabinets is my downfall and clutter in my walk in closet. The closet is next on my list. I've done it many times before but that seems to be the catch all place. Thanks for the encouragement. I enjoyed your curly hair videos because of my hair but I enjoy this as much and learning about your life.
