I find it quicker to take my odd sized patch piece and trace around it on the wall. But, to each their own. Good video.

Excellent video, worthy of its run time.

Your a natural brother! Keep in mind the more little nuances you giive us on the videos the better. You know the things you don't even have to think about like how to mix the mud in the pan, mud to water ratio, cutting away any loose paper so you don't get blisters etc. These things might seem obvious to you but the newbie will get a lot of value from you explaining how and why you do things. I subscribed so I can say I was one of your first when your a huge KZbin influencer.

Great video. Question: did you use 5 minute mud on the second coat? And would you recommend the mud to be thinner? Thank you in advance for your answers. Merry Christmas to you and yours. 🇨🇦💝🇺🇸🙏🥰

No walls in my house have texture, but they all have… texture haha. From layers of paint and the nap in the rollers. Any tips for matching that so it isn’t perfectly smooth where the patch is?
@DocWalliday2 ай бұрын
Absolutely. Use a 1/2” nap paint roller (or heavier, depending on your patience) to put multiple coats of paint to build up “texture” as needed to match.

. The plastering trowels and taping knives are designed with a curve. There not suppose to be straight. Of course we are talking the slightest of curve and it's up to the installer to recognize what side is his application side. Some bend the arch more or less to their liking. So basically I don't know what ur talking about.

He is a professional. He said so at the beginning of the video. Cheers.

Using a curved knife explains why patch work is all you do..... would hump every flat in a house and automatic firing by most people including me... .. but piece of advice if doing patches and well worth the money.... fiber fuse has a 3 foot wide product that is about 50 bucks in my area for a roll..... is all i use on patches.
