Thanks for the question. Look for if disable search plugin or any other similar SEO plugin is used. Under settings you can easily toggle the search result pages to index. Hope you find this useful.

To block googlebot-news crawler accessing your content you can use Robots.txt file for top level, as which part of site may not need to appear in Google search or Google News.
