@@Rev_Sxcy you have to log out of every device and ensure no one else has access to your account. My wife had my profile up on her computer still after I had used it. Until you do that it just keeps throwing the error. If you have it on one item only, such as a laptop, you may need to put Messenger on another device and see if your account will open on that device. That is how I finally got mine to open. No guarantees it will work but hope it helps

Im getting the code but every time I put it in it just says unknown error and every time I resend for a new code it’s the same one coming through every single time. Once every few days it will let me get as far as changing the password but again unknown error! very frustrating and really worried I won’t ever get back on! I have just gone into my phone settings, then apps and cleared the cache and the data. closed everything down and requested a code again and it worked 1st time. so id siggest clearing your browsing history/data/cache the lot

I have the same problem. The code do not work. I don't understand a company as big as FB and you can't get any type of help. So darn ridiculous. i run my business on FB. Beware of tech support supposedly from fB. They are scammers as well. they claim to want to help you and when they get to the end they ask if you have used your debit/credit or if you have cash app. If you say no they hang up on you and the phone is quickly disconnected. They want to take over your computer or phone. BEWARE!!!

I was getting the code and now I’m not anymore. On my phone I managed to get into my account. I went to settings to change my password…but an alert pops up stating “action not allowed at this time, you’ll need to be active on this device for a while since you don’t normally use this device” My device is the only device on my account. I am writting this comment in case i can help people who struggle with this issue. I was struggling with this issue myself , so i gave up and created a new account using my phone number that i used on my previous account. I tried to get used to the thought that i will never gain access to my previous account. But after a couple of days , i decided to log out on my new account and try to gain access to my previous account hoping i could finally log in. And guess what. I logged in without even asking for a 6 digit code or a new password. So in conclusion , if you have connected your phone number with the account you are struggling to log in , you can create a new one with the same phone number and gain access to your previous account. It worked for me , i dont see why it couldnt for you too. I hope this helps

if you are getting the error where it says “Account Temporarily Unavailable” then tells you to verify in a desktop or mobile browser only for the confirm button to give errors: “Something went wrong” followed later by “That code didn’t work”, It appears people are having some anecdotal success resetting by leaving the account untouched for a LEAST 48 hrs straight, and then attempting to request a code again. I will be trying this and report back if it works. Cuz even sending them my birth certificate still gave an error when resetting password

There is no option for me that says, "Didn't Get The Code" on the screen anywhere. There is nothing wrong with my phone that requires a reset, and these options that you have are not showing for me at all. Requested Code thru both text and email. Only email showed up however the problem I am having is they are sending me a 7 digit code and a 8 digit code is needed!!! Wth? I managed to get my ID verified and add an email account back. But then the hacker still had theirs. I managed to get the account locked/blocked. That locked them out, but I couldn't get in. I had to wait a week before finally getting it back. But they had always ran ads through my accounts and used someone else's credit card. I few thousand dollars of ads. They added themselves through the meta portal so it wouldn't even show up on my Facebook. There they can control your Instagram as well. I battled those fucking cocksuckers, posting ads in the Philippines after they opened a Google ads with my email too.

I was hacked from using wifi at a vacation rental house 3 states away. My email red flagged me so I wasn't getting emails til I found out and was able to do a reset for that. My steam account was deleted beyond recovery (they too don't have a support contact number to reach someone for personal help) and my Facebook account was hacked. They took my email and added another @ email address with no spaces and deleted my phone number. Despite finding my account for the recovery process they kept wanting to send the recovery code to the hacked account and my actual email address. The Code just wouldn't work and they kept sending me the same one. I tried it on my phone, my laptop I tried even uploading my drivers liscence ID....NOTHING has worked. It's absolutely ridiculous for a company with the size that it is, having the amount of accounts that they do with the kind of connectivity power and information people rely on to be secure and acceessible....to NOT have an actual customer support line to call for these kind of critical loss of account issues. If I can't get this account back, I'll likely never use face book again.

Hello, I'm having A little problem with Facebook on my desktop computer. Whenever I go to the site, it's asking me to start 'Facebook Protect', and I don't know what to do. I would select 'Text Message (SMS)' by typing in my phone number, enter A 6 digit code, but when I did, I would see A transparent circle, and I'm wondering if I have to wait for the process to go through. I hope I'm making sense of all this. I just want to get back into my Facebook account.

I have a messenger account that is not linked to any facebook account. I did forget my password, I still have the phone number the account was made with however everytime I have them send me the 6 digit code, they keep sending me the LS NONCE message. I did clear my cache and cookies, allowed the other app, but I'm still having the same issue. Please help

they sent me a code for two tier ID. The code was only 4 numbers long. It did not work. I had them send me a code to my email on my desktop. Still did not work. It is getting old. I once had to send a picture of my ID which was hard cause I had to use my husband's phone to do it. I will keep trying.

My problem is this my old phone number on my FB account is not a working number device. Got a new phone with new number was going to update it on my account but it shows a different account not mine , so I didn't update number. My gmail account isn't on my FB account. So I can't get access code when I did get it from new number that other account comes up not even me. I reported this sent an my id to FB. Haven't heard anything back FB still reviewing can you help? Even if I get back into my FB account I know ill have to change phone number and or create new account but I'm hoping there is a solution. Ps. Can't change phone number back to old number on account no imei even behind the battery. Thank you.

6 digit code did not work on 2 attempts with 2 codes. kept prompting with old password. unsure why old long time password was not accepted as i used that first. i unexpectedly logged out on my phone and now i cannot get access without changing to a whole new email and i do not have one, want one and also worry this could deny me all access to my facebook page and most importantly my photos. just sucks!! Keeps coming up that something went wrong or denied....ps...not finding that reset connections on my phone either. Tried using both laptop after it happened on my phone...that may be the issue but i do not have email set up on my phone. ********* never mind!!! It MAGICALLY CAME BACK!!!! Now I do not know which of the 3 passwords it accepted!!! Geez!!

After over a week trying everything I could think of until today i had a hunch. I remembered that my work PC had a Virtual Machine i use for software testing that has an old version of Internet Explorer installed (IE 11) . My hunch was that after all the Meta changes, they would deprecate Internet Explorer and leave it so you could still login with reduced functionality. I was right. This time when I requested the code, it came through to my email right away. Windows 10: Select Start > Search , and enter Windows features. Select Turn Windows features on or off from the results and make sure the box next to Internet Explorer 11 is selected. Select OK, and restart

No clue what a WhatsApp is and when they claim to send code to cell phone they never do. No way to log in. Complained to them for like a week but nothing is done.

hi. i need help. i do not access facebook nor the internet for that matter on my phone at all. only on 2 desktops. one at work, and one at home. over 16 years of being on facebook i have had to reset my password probably 30 times so i can't remember what the heck i used or most current. and i just stay loggged in for months at a time. so bascially yesterday i had an issue with a browser for a diffrent webiste and they told me to clear browing history for 24 hours, didn't seem to effect anyhting, only facebook, it logged me out. but i can't remember the password. so i did this. and it keep saying that it is sending it to my email address but it won't. i don't have a number for it to text to. i was still logged on at home, i tried to change my password, but that would not work due to the fact i need to know my current password. i eventreid mesenging facebook in help, but i haven't heard anything back and it has been a day. is there anything i can do
