Assuming your cable is good, and you have the USB set to "File Transfer", put your phone in AIRPLANE MODE. This seems to help, seems the other active connection protocols interfere with MTP. In Airplane Mode files seem to transfer just fine.

tried both options on Samsung A52g - seems to be a lot of A52g users have same issue - mine all started when I was getting random moisture detected alerts and could only charge via Safe Mode - now the charging appears to have fixed itself I can no longer get this phone to connec to my PC - thank you for showing us these steps!

doesn't do anything for A32, there are no options for usb "at all"? they want users to use cloud file transfers? Dang, I called tech they said change usb cables, yup, some are just charging cables and other are data cables, one would think it would be tagged charging cable only or something? Ha, 9 months later I'm back here again, under developer option press default usb option then transfer files.

Worked. After doing this and then buying a samsung type c to a cable (it came with a type c to c cable). Shame on Samsung for proprietary cable transfer tech

Hello folks, try to really clean your USB ports on your phone, i wass fixing this issue 7 days, cleaned USB port, changing settings, watched 20 videos about this, and at the end i cleaned USB port one last time on hard, and it connected hehe.

I've done all these options and more and I still can not get my PC to see my phone. It charges slowly, even with fast charging enabled. I replaced the USB charging board and that still didn't work. I took my phone to a repair shop and they couldn't do anything. I really need help.
