G'day Jaycie, this video was of particular relevance because after 7-8 years of working on my first historical fiction I am now close to finishing what has turned into a 2-book collection. This video on character development gave me pause to consider each of the points you brought up and to my surprise I felt confident I could check them all off as being handled in my new book. Time will tell though because it has yet to undergo editing, but I feel confident this will be my best work to date ... thanks to AutoCrit, and fellow writers who have helped me along the way. Keep up the great work with these videos!!

Great advice. I adding idiosyncrasies to a character, like nail biting or fear of birds or post nasal drip, depending on how it might fit with the plot.

Psychopaths are flat characters. So, how can they be developed as a character?

I agree completely with David, your arm and hand gesticulations is very distracting. Your content is enough.

Great talk, Jaycie, I shall take it to heart. Just one suggestion - could you please stop waving your hands and arms about so much. Your presentation is strong enough that you don't need that sort of emphasis.
