G'day Jaycie, this video was of particular relevance because after 7-8 years of working on my first historical fiction I am now close to finishing what has turned into a 2-book collection. This video on character development gave me pause to consider each of the points you brought up and to my surprise I felt confident I could check them all off as being handled in my new book. Time will tell though because it has yet to undergo editing, but I feel confident this will be my best work to date ... thanks to AutoCrit, and fellow writers who have helped me along the way. Great advice. I adding idiosyncrasies to a character, like nail biting or fear of birds or post nasal drip, depending on how it might fit with the plot.

Great talk, Jaycie, I shall take it to heart. Just one suggestion - could you please stop waving your hands and arms about so much. Your presentation is strong enough that you don't need that sort of emphasis.
