How To Fix Fluctuating BPMs On Turntables.

Mate! I came across to Serato from Traktor which was solid on BPMs and hated Serato because of the drift! This might have sorted it, thank you!

Hi, ive tested the fluctuation with many control vinyls, 4 different turntables and serato sucks at reading the bpms :D. Traktor resolution 0.03 fluctuation with vestax pdx 3000 (wow and flutter is 0.05, so ballpark traktor), serato, 0.2, sometimes 0.3. (almost 10 times more) Even with rubber slipmats and the right cartridge weight. Anti drift sometimes helps, but its imposible to maintain long mixes without pitch riding or playing with the platter. Im a serato user, but i got to give this point to traktor :D.

Thanks for this. From coming from controllers and as a new guy to turntables. To me it seems that tracking is my issue. A good example of this is when scratching over a down beat the pushes and pulls don’t sound sharp. Any help you can provide would be most appreciated.

Very interesting!! I’m having the same problem using Phase with my SL-1200 with regular needles and timecodes it works just fine. When I use Phase the bpm fluctuate like crazy. It’s driving me nuts because I personally feel beat matching/ blending/mixing is the number one stable of being a dj. Have you tried Phase yet and if so what was your experience!

Mine does same thing. Fluctuations are off like 2 bpm it's terrible. I'm gonna try this

@@djjooce4503 hi did you test it out and did it fix it ? I'm using vdj and getting fluctuations thinking of changing to serato need to buy a new mixer aswell .

@@aplugsocket no unfortunately it did not work after clicking anti drift. I would have to constantly calibrate the remotes. And it still drifted :(

having the same issue with rane twelve mk2's using dvs mode, absolutely ridiculous considering it a digital turntable with no needle.

I think +/- 1 is standard even for new turntables... my MK7's both have that. What i did notice is that it increases to +/- 2, 3 when i use slightly warped control vinyls... Great videos, i really like your content!

@@DJPr1mo Pressure is probably your best bet - I'm sure you've heard of wrapping them in paper (to protect them) and placing them in between some heavy books. Hopefully that will help straighten then out for ya.

Well I'm having fluctuations between 90 to 177 to any random number it pleases 😭 Just started happening on my all in one mixstream controller..someone said it's dust.. I blew dust used a mini vacuum and went back to normal... temporarily Now I'm loading songs and the default bpm is off -3 to -5 👀 What do I do.. got a big show coming up and been organising my library.. so it would suck to get new gear.. 😭😭😭 heeeeeeelp!!!
