How to fix GEEMY Inflatable that Won't Inflate

My 15 year old Grinch is only inflating to about 80% fullness so I'm gonna try this after Christmas to see if I can get him back to 100%. I don't wanna have to replace him because he's old-school Grinch while the ones available now are new-school Grinch and not my favorite lol. Thanks for the info

Jesus, you’ve had your inflatable grinch for 15 years. They’re only supposed to last for 5 to 10 years so that’s probably why it’s 15 years old and the fabric is getting thinner and thinner the more you use it.

I have had the same thing happen to the shaking polar bear i used to have. The fan worked but didn't want to inflate at all. I used the fan from that jazz band inflatable (that i have as my profile pic) that my family used to have as well.

Do you vacuum or blow air with the shop vac. Also do you spray it while its inflating or deflated? Please help cause Ive got 2 that I love.

The shop vac just helps inflated with less pressure. I spray it while it's fully inflated. You can just start spraying as it's filling up with your regular pump and it will slowly seal up all those small little holes

@@josephralph7570 No i tried this to my animated helicopter when it was inflated that did not happen all tho the problem did not fix but im hoping to duck tape the propeller and see if that works.

you spray the outside of the cloth...

Do you spray on the outside or the in side? Have you had an issues when rolling it back up and storing it? Cracking or wrinkles?

I sprayed on the outside I have no problems with the storage. Sometimes you may need to spray again in another year, but not as much and above all it's worth it

Start with the stitched areas. Usually a full can is best all over....they really take a toll over the years.

What's the best way to test and make sure the fan has the proper amperage. My inflatable ghost is about 4 yrs old and it won't stay up anymore. I tried spraying it with scothbright water repellent from the inside but it didn't really seem to help. So wondering if maybe it's the fan.

Use clear paint for plastic. Use rust oleum fusion satin clear not water repellent water repellent doesn’t work. It’s not a DC motor it’s an AC motor you don’t have to check for amperage.

It's rustoleum spray. Just use paint for plastic but clearcoat and color any clear will work

There is a problem with my gemmy inflatable, and the problem is the engine of the motor the model TN/3TN/TN don't work at all I will like to know if someone open that kind of engine before to see from the inside, and how to repair it. NO fuse problem no lights problem, and the fan is cleaned , and the only problem I have is the engine .

Adonis Donato I’m looking up to fix that problem as well, the lights work in mine just it’s not turning anything else on or airing up at all. The fuses have been changed and still nothing, It’s only two years old.

Just buy a replacement blower, theyre cheap on amazon.

No disrespect to this poster, but neither clear spray nor scotch guard worked for me. These inflatables, whether by design or fault, have a limited shelf life and the manufacturer will not support. Their suggestion was to use Scotch Guard, which I had already told them didn’t work.

You've just discovered the crux of the problem for yourself - these are cheaply made imports that are designed to fail after a short life, IMO, thus encouraging you to buy more to replace them. They profit, we lose.
