If your Chrome default search engine keeps changing back to Bing search, it could be a sign of a security issue on your computer, Chromebook, or mac. The steps in this tutorial will first help you identify any Chrome extensions or Chrome apps that might be malicious or a virus and remove them from your Google Chrome browser. After that, we use Chrome to scan your PC for malware or viruses. Finally we run Windows Defender to do a full virus scan of your computer.
Follow the steps below to delete an extension or app from Chrome:
1. Open the Google Chrome browser.
2. Open the Chrome settings by first selecting the 3 dots in the top right of Chrome and then selecting More Tools in the menu.
3. Once in More Tools, select Extensions.
4. You will now see all the extensions and apps installed to your Google Chrome browser. Find the extension or app you want to uninstall and select Remove.
Follow the steps below to scan your computer for a virus with Google Chrome:
1. Open the Google Chrome browser.
2. Open the Chrome settings by first selecting the 3 dots in the top right of Chrome and then selecting Settings in the menu.
3. In the left sidebar of the Chrome settings, select Advanced and then Reset and clear up.
4. Once on Reset and clean up, select Clean up computer.
5. To start the Google Chrome virus scan, select Find.
6. Google Chrome will now check your system for any harm applications.

thanks, the extension doing it was. my adblocker. the ad-blocked wasn't even that good. I had to wait the same time because when an ad came, I had to wait the same amount of time for the ad to finish. all it did was make the screen white. thanks a lot :)

I think I got rid of it, I had an extension called "editor" and it was owned by Microsoft. I don't ever remember adding it, but it took like 15 minutes to figure out how to remove it, because if I clicked "remove" it would take me somewhere else, and I couldn't remove it. I finally found "remove from chrome" and I clicked that, and now I think its finally working.

ty ty ty i was just ignoring this porblem but it was just getting annoying trying to do research as i personaly love to research a varity of subjects and it was just taking a lot longer waiting for tabs to switch and then being unable to go back with the arrows. cannot express how thankfull i am for this video and am very thankfull for how simple this is and very easy regarding not doing an external actions such as i cal "trolls" making a bunch of junk up to make you download possibly malicious software that does nothing but leave you frustrated and your computor at risk Edit: mind my spelling i have been up for awhile and am going to bed as im pressing the sleep button on my computor, anyways have a good one and keep up the good work :)
