Lift up on your door.. If it wiggles.. Your hinge pin needs rebuilt. Yes the striker helps. Hinge is usually a problem before the striker. Adjusting the striker will make it easier to close. Nice idea though. Glad it worked.

I've done this with black electrical tape in the past. Thanks for the "neater" fix! I'm on my way to New York to pick up my 4th squarebody, but my first pre-1980 body! A 77 Scottsdale. I'll be recording the journey for my channel. Hope to see you around!

Black electrical tape also works for a long time believe it or not, and you don’t even have to take it out, or just buy new door strikers that come with em, or do it that way as well...👍🏼

I don't understand how thats suppose to make it easier, but I will believe it. thanks. I could understand if it was "do you have sloppy doors, add this"

@wowreally76454 жыл бұрын
Actually that is only one part of the problem you also need to replace the bushings in the door hinges. Notice when the door opened it sagged, that is in indication the bushings in the door hinges are bad.

Some sort of plastic pipe. I think it was irrigation pipe
@atypical_moto4 жыл бұрын
I think it's like the pipe they use on prefab swing joints for sprinkler heads. I'm an irrigator and that's what it looks like. If that's the case, heating the pipe with a torch will make putting it on the striker much easier.
@davidmolano40044 жыл бұрын
