Worked great! The day before the boot looping started, I noticed a bit of condensation inside the front-facing camera. Thus, I suspected water damage to the FaceID module. Disconnecting it and reassembling the phone, then performing a software update via MacBook did the trick!

@@yannisetai no I just used the phone without the front facing camera and FaceID for a while, but I didn't want to potentially risk money on replacing the FaceID module. I'd read that there could be compatibility issues because each phone is paired to one FaceID module, and replacing it won't bring back FaceID, only the camera functionality. Unfortunately I also couldn't use the phone to make calls anymore, so I ended uo buying a new one.

A plastic pry tool and small hexagon screwdriver and y shaped screwdriver they are specific for iPhones you can find them everywhere.

My kids and I were at the splash pad last weeka and i left my iPhone in the stroller, my stroller got soaked and my phone submerged in water. It worked fine for a little while then all of a sudden wouldnt turn on just kept turning the apple logo on and off.
