Thanks Mike! This is exactly what I needed to learn. By the way, I have the same multi-meter. It came from Harbor Freight. I think mine was free using a coupon from a mailer I received.

What do you check if no lights turn on?

Go to the transformer and see if there is a reset button. Also test the outlet for power...it may just be a GFI outlet that has tripped

Why did you use the multimeter set to ACV when I’m assuming by using a transformer there should be 12V DC down the line to all fixtures?

Is there anyway to repair pathway lights that break at the base? Black metal and shaped like an arched flower. All work but broken at base exposing the wire.

@@michellesilverberg8108 It's really hard to say without getting eyes and hands on it. Probably the best you can hope for is to protect the wiring and keep the base together.

Hey, Mike. I have similar lights to yours, and mine just yesterday starting flickering. This happened after I had the yard mown. What might be the problem? The lights are approximately six years old.

Is it just 1 light or all/several?

Trying to help a friend yesterday. He has 30 lights on one run from the power supply. He says they're all in series. I say that isn't possible with 12v. It has to come to a point and branch off. Is that sensible? Or am I mistaken?
