Thank you so much. I took my laptop apart, unfortunately I didn't have the same model as you I have a HP so my keyboard connector wire was on the bottom of my laptop. I disconnected the wire and cleaned it and reconnected it and it's now working properly. Only took me about 20 minutes with no PC repair experience. It is totally worth the try. I think a shop probably would of charged me over 100 dollars to fix it.

What a great video, I tried all possibilities to fix mine without success but perhaps there is an easy solution to my dilemma. My keyboard was working fine until my cat sat on the keyboard, first it went haywire and typed all kind of numbers, symbols etc. After restarting it does not type anything. Maybe you can suggest something else? In any case loved the video, very clear and easy to follow.

Thanks Hannele, I will suggest you try reseatung the keyboard connector cable by removing and hooking it back, if that fails try an external keyboard, if that works maybe you need a keyboard replacement

I just used your tutorial, thank you. I was able to login via the onscreen keyboard, then Identified that I accidentally clicked the screenlock key-simple fix to click it off and get back to work. Thank you!

While none of your solutions fixed my problem individually, I found that by combining them, my problem was solved. I enabled filter keys, uninstalled my keyboard drivers, rebooted, and disabled filter keys, my keyboard worked again. Pretty weird that they didn't work by themselves but did all together.

My laptop's cooling fan was always running at high speed and it was very slow. I realised the heatsink was blocked after years of dusts. So I opened it, cleaned everything (it was badly blocked) and now everything's working smooth. Problem: entire keyboard is not working now except 'b' 'n' buttons! :-( I tried driver update, uninstall driver and restart, ease of access...nothing has worked. Does that mean I have to take off the keyboard again and check the connector inside? I did wipe it, clean it and re-insert the connector very carefully. Please help. Thanks. :-)
