The other things to do if your carbs leak from the over flow pipes is check the brass tubes in the float bowls dont have any cracks in them and check the drain screws are seated properly as they can corrode on the tips and inside the float bowl which means they dont seal properly and fuel will leak out

Hi! If it still floods after this procedure could it be that mixing screws are out too far?

So I'm having an issue on a dual carburetor on a motorcycle. It's a Yamaha xv535 virago. Low mileage 6,000. The carburetor has issues because it's sat for a while. I've been cleaning it out as best I can. I've got it running fairly decent, however once it gets warm or has ran for a while, it starts to overflow through the vents/overflow. I've checked the float height and even adjusted it to close a little sooner. The floats are not filling up. The bike does have a fuel pump. I have a rebuild kit coming with new needle valves. But I am concerned. It is pouring out, and seemingly only after it has warmed up or been running a while. It is running a bit lean. Could it be making the carbs too hot? Any help world be appreciated
