Really good video! The only thing I'd point out is on the first bit about selling a product people want. When I started Etsy I made assemblage jewelry; everyone wanted crosses, rhinestones, rosary beads... I had stars, gemstones and wood beads. No one was doing what I was doing, so I had to 'train' people to want this as an alternative and it didn't take long. Sometimes it's more about creating your market than finding it. 👍 Oh also I'd have picked the 1st image LOL - I like that it shows options!

Thank you so much! Great information 😊 I just opened my store almost 4 months ago and someone gave me some good advice recently . They noticed that my title was all smooshed together and there were no spaces in between the comas and I said I’m just trying to fit everything and they told me that if you don’t have spaces then your title is seen as all one word and nobody is going to find your listings. So that was very good advice to share as well

Question about views to sales ratio - is it the views on the actual items? Or like the total views for the shop? I realize I have quite a few views from my social medias & stuff but I’m just curious.. my shops only been open for a couple days but I seem to have decent traffic.

Question: If I know that I am the only shop on Etsy (& I know that I am) that sells what I make, but it is a niche within a niche, and high end (luxury fibers, not cotton), how do I "compete"? I am the highest priced shop in my niche, offering custom makes, beautiful reviews, fast service & shipping, yet averaging a sale per month. Etsy keeps lumping me in with the cheap, even sweatshop reseller versions because they wont learn the difference between wool and cotton. Thank goodness I have repeat buyers.

You have to find those keywords your customer is using to filter through the 'junk'. I don't know what you make specifically but if it's wool, use 'pure wool' as a tag, and have '100% wool' in the first 20 characters of your title so it's visible in search. Also, use keywords like luxury, high end, organic (if applicable), etc. Those are the defining keywords your customer is using. Try to describe your stuff using high end terms like lagenlook, hygge fashion, dopamine dressing, wab sabi etc depending on what's appropriate for you. Another quick way is to ensure you're in the upper price bracket in Etsy's filters. again i don't know what you sell but if the typical stuff is under 50, you should be over. And your images should look luxurious too, with the right props and lighting. Hope that's helpful!

Is your order total $0.00? Etsy is unable to process these transactions; if you google it, you should be able to find some posts on the Etsy Community pages that may be able to provide further information for you.
