You have to delete in P6 in Excel. If you just remove than in P6 relationship will be remain their. The d commands the P6 to delete the relationship.so it's necessary.P6 will only do what you instruct to do. Also watch below video it's fixer tool .Its very easy nothing much to do in it.

Thanks for the wondeful video. I have a query. When you apply FF relationship to Out of sequence activities why don't you consider the lag. If you do not maintain lag (equal to remaining duation of the activity), FF relationship mayl pull ahead the overall schedule end dates?

By adding lag your finish dates will be changed in that case. No lag should be applied.out of sequence will be only detected when predecessor activity get started or completed. So in this senerio their is no sense to assign lag. Please first understand why out of sequence appears in monitoring phase of schedule. Thanks

@Ahmed Ali, You have followed my words that true learners' spirits lead to professionalism. you have maybe read some in the contract or other procedures. In most general conditions of the contract and in the programme section you read this. "In the event that progress of an element of the Works deviates by plus or minus five percent (± 5%) from that shown in the associated Activity Programme the Contractor shall submit a revision of such Activity Programme for the Engineer’s information" If you revise your programme on 5% deviation then out of sequence will not occur in this bulk that was 1162 activities. There will be some out of sequence but not in huge nos. I hope you understand (± 5%) meaning that's not a division word i used deviation may be my pronunciations lead you wrong. Also maybe a question comes into your mind how can we find out (± 5%) deviation in activities. To find out (± 5%) deviation in activities. you just need to see the variance = (planned % (Which is Schedule %) - Earned % (which is Performance %).If the variance of an event is more than or equal to± 5% then you need to revise the activity program . The revision of activity according to the site should be done monthly basis and the consultant /Engineer should be informed about the changes by a summarized narrative report. That Programme will be not considered a revision it will be considered a monthly update. That's the best Practice >I would recommend to all planners to stay away from unrealistic forecasting results in EVM and Completion dates. Further, the choice depends on how your client is well known in Planning and Scheduling Practices. Sir, Thanks Having small doubt in this video. Before import why don't you deleted the activities. You clear the four rules first with the copy paste method. After that u did not delete existing activities Pls clarify sir

if you delete all of them, your activities relationship will be broken. The previous relationship should be known. This is not a copy-paste method. This is a trick found after a lot of research. The second one is that there are more than 10 K activities or more than 35K relationships are there. By mistake, if you removed necessary relationships and forget to replace a new one. It will take days to know where your relationships are creating problems. If your project is in the monitoring stage. Now come to your question answer. you said I haven't deleted old relationships. The answer is that I deleted the relationship before importing. I put d in the delete column which instructs P6 to delete the relationship. If you just delete the row and import it back the relationship will be there. You have to put d in front of the delete row column. To instruct the p6 delete it. Watch again you will see it. thanks for your appreciation.

Thanks for asking, I was expecting this question. That events are due 4th Case as I have explained that it does not impact Schedule strength. These 75 activities are completed but their predecessor and successor are not completed. So this is a totally different case. Normally when a scheduler uses fewer relationships during scheduling this does appear. IN this schedule he has used a lot of irrelevant relationships. this was falling in the 4th case Predecessor not started and Successor Completed. This can be resolved by deleting all activities in this case. One line answer is that you have to delete just the 4th Case Predecessor Not started and Successor Completed relationship to resolve 75 activities. In my case, not every Schedule. I hope you got the point. Also @Saddiq Khan thanks for asking.

hello sir ... i have two questions needing help 1- After fixing in execel , i found this message(The User Preferences used to create this Excel file are not the same as your current preferences. Importing this file could corrupt your data. Please refer to Help for more information about importing data from Excel. Are you sure that you want to continue?) Is there a problem or continue ? 2- After updating : why budgeded units or costs before D.D disappear and the distribution of them is reassigned on next months differently compared to baseline?

The excel export file and then imported files are different. Like while exporting you setting if users preferences was different and in import was different. This cause the issue
