A lot of times it’s just as easy as going to ur graphics settings. I was already in URP but for some reason it was just showing up as Render pipeline in mg settings. On the drop down menu I selected URP well-a! All my shaders work!

Much simpler solution now: -Windows -Render Pipeline Converter -Built-in to URP - Select all - Intizialize and convert

If you're using URP 12+ the #Edit -> Render Pipline' is removed, instead there is a new converter tool in 'Window -> Rendering -> Render Pipeline Converter'

@@cryptoworldgames I had the same issue, to solve it you need to install universal RP from the package manager. Go to Window > Package manager > Packages: Unity Registry > Universal RP and then install the Universal RP(The universal Render pipeline). and then you will have the Render Pipeline Converter option

Thank you for this, i've nearly fixed my problem now, i bought the Yeti low poly model from the asset store and i've got it so that it's not pink (after following your instructions) but the fur texture that it comes with is nopt being applied. The maker said it needs the standard double sided shader since it's furry but when i choose that it goes pink again. Any help greatly appreciated :)

I can open a scene and change the shaders/materials/textures to URP using the manual or the automatic methods ... but I can't seem to save the changes.
