@@mikajen9126 only the mesh ones? I use 2 mesh and 12 of the spike balls. I added the spike balls after I seen someone else use them. I do still plan to give my washer a super good cleaning when it is warm enuf outside in late spring.

There's not a way to put a link catcher on the tiny holes at the base of the drum (is where my clog was).

I also use a knee-hi tied onto the end of the drain hose, because I don't want to clog my drain. Additionally, I use the tight mesh laundry bags, which both catch lint and protect my laundry -- the plastic tub is a little rough on fabric.

You did it the hard way 😌there is an easier way to unclog the drain you started out right but the you closed the back lid and went from the top. On the back side there is a drain string the one that opens the drain when you turn the knob for it to drain all you had to do is unhooke it and open the drain valve then clean it up. And put the string back on. Also sometimes the spinner don’t drain because some socks or small cloths gets out of spin bucket and clog the drain.

My problem is that the machine is draining even though I’m not selecting the drain option. And because the hose is folded up while washing , the water has no where to go but to the dryer side (due to it being a lower pressure area)

I have this unit and while I was away from home for a couple months my husband told me it stopped draining for some reason. I took that back off once and it was sus, but now I am glad I found your video. It really shows a lot of steps. I will be updating my zeny video and would love to send folks over to your video to show how to fix the drain issue. We have a lot of cat hair and battled so much lint. I removed our stopper in the tub, added a strainer basket, and use two reusable produce bags as a lint catcher. Also, those floaty flowers help a lot too. From one Zeny gal to another. Thank you so much for submitting this video. I wasn't sure why the spinner wasn't draining. Even though you were dealing with the washer, I thought I would look at the back too. Turns out something was blocking the drain - one of my knee high hose! It had somehow slipped in between the spinner and the housing. I tipped the machine upside down and patted it a few times to unlodge it and then pushed the spinner to the side and used a tool to pull it out. Thanks again - I also will keep the washer in mind for clogs - it was very useful info!

@@cindybimeler5668 when you open the back the middle nozzle attaches to a hook that’s hooked to a plug. There are several notches that can be hooked on. Just change the notch up or down to make a tighter/looser fit on the plug.

Thanks for the drain rooter demo! I think I need to order one since hangers and other tricks have not worked. My portable washing machine ate a tiny glasses cleaning cloth that I knew darn well I should not even have put in the machine! It jumped out of the spin basket and down the drain so draining basically stopped. Have used wire that I bent a hook at the end and went as far as I could through the drains. Unfortunately there are so many sharp angles that the wire would crunch up instead of working through it or would not bend to continue. Was thinking of trying Wet-Vac to suck around drain areas or air compressor to blow out the little cloth. It is dried in there now so though it would budge. I made extra sure to check all the drain areas and took the big screw out of the wash agitator wheel and wire went through fine but I knew it was in the spin drain. I don't use my battery drill on delicate screws in plastic, as it will come off easily with a screwdriver. Sometimes people forget to change the drill bit direction going the right way or don't have it properly in the screw and do damage. I was trying anything by then since the drains might join. I also took off that part you ignored that has that metal strip with holes that also drains when you turn the drain knob and it lifts it up. That large knob just needs to be unscrewed to get access to that. They really should make those little machines more accessible since draining problems might happen a lot. My plastic pipe drain areas inside have a lot of 'glue gun' type joint seals so you can't get them off. It would have been so nice to have some screw rings to detach areas! I just need to order a drain rooter as objects at home either do not have a hook or barb to grab the cloth or is not flexible enough to be pushed around right angles. Thanks for helping us!

I think when you're running that hot water dear you could have poured some bleach in that tub and that would have cleaned/disinfected some of that dark gook and maybe mold that's growing in that hose

Thanks for video. Suggestions?? Set your Machine on something stable like wood blocks to help it drain better. Also you should have a filter on the end of your water hose. You will eventually stop up your drain because lint/debris accumulates in pipes. I make my own filters using aluminum screen mesh and a plain old hand stapler. Cut a form, fold edges over a couple of times and staple. Replace when full. Thanks again.

Finally!!!! Can you add this link to Pintrest? I have been looking for over a year for ANYTHING other than an ad, or how someone washes clothes, (helpful in decision to purchase...), but we have to know how to maintain them. Oh, and lint catchers are a huge must! My dart tees, I had to lint roll every time! And since I grew up in the country where we had to maintain all our outgoing water pipes, that sludge will clog up a pipe somewhere! Knee hi's or pantyhose zip tied have worked best for me. Then I tie off the end when it gets to be a solid 1-2 ", then cut it off.

I would suggest buying few lint catchers, that float in the washer tub. and also some lint catchers for your hose. Your bathroom drain is collecting each and every one of those fibers, and soon will become a giant clog. Thx for ur video ! I was wondering what was under that little 2 screws compartment below. That was good, it was a good start. But, if you clean out or replace the LINT CATCHER , tthe big buggy grey cloth thing on the inside of the washer , then more lint will actually GO IN SIDE OF THAT LINT BAG. RIGHT NOW, it can’t go I. There because it so full. So instead the,int is going down INTO THE HOSE. That will help you a lot too Also, the reason the screw in the middle of the machine , where it agitates from won’t turn is, cuz you need a special but for it. Take a photo of it, it’s the last thing you tried to UNSCRew, take it to a hardware store and show them the pic. They will help you f8nd the right bit. Also,bring your screw gun with you, just to make sure the bit will bit in the gun too. Great video!

When I'm done washing for the day, I use my handheld shower head and rinse out my washer while it's set on drain that way it flushes out any lint or hair left plus my machine is clean for the next time I use it, I haven't had this issue with my bigger machine.

I used to have a big one like that, a bootie sock was stuck in drain hose.....at end of hose, bottom of washer....had to cut hose n attach new one to it with glue worked long time that way...

Purchase a lint catcher. They lint catcher alone that already build wont catch all of it. I put one inside of the washing machine and one at the end of the drain holes so it won't clog up the sink.

Im going to leave this info incase it'll help anyone else looking for answers. You can buy metal lint catchers that go on your outlet hose, they look like a panty hose. Or you can even just use the bottom of a panty hose and clamp it onto the hose. I bought a 2 pack of plastic and foam floating lint catchers that go on the washer while the clothes are in it and they catch more than the built in filter!

I have had one for about two years. It started draining slowly but it was not stopped up. I had to adjust the drain stopper. You can do this by unscrewing the top.

You haven't been keeping the lint filter very cleaned out. Was very full. If you release those same two back screws and remove the pulsate screw as well... you can reach right in and pick up the chunk of debris with the swipe of your finger. Then replace the pulsate and debris screen . AND YES... use a floating lint catcher and a lint sock. The floater catches 3 times more than the built in filter and lint catcher will. I also Use 4X6 organza drawstring bags. as lint socks Amazon.... sells 100 count of them for only $5.99. Keeps your tub drain from clogging like your washer was clogged. Just use one with each day you use the machine then toss it in trash at end of wash day. Way cheaper than lint socks and finer mesh works to filter better than lint socks do. But kudos for fixing the issue and making the video to help others.

I don't see how that is a problem since water is meant to go in there. My machine even puts water on the spinning load from a hose, but I prefer not to use it. I just drain the soapy water from the wash tub and refill with rinse water and put the clothes back in tub for a real rinse and then last spin. I had too much soap in the wash load and there was a lot of water that was slow to drain from the spinner. I just waited for the bubbles to go away and then it drained properly. Don't you just use the drain knob to allow water to exit the machine (tub or spinner sides)?

It's in the back side of machine in the tub near where water should flow in. It slides up and down in a slot with mesh lint bag on it or it has a vertical flat plastic box which clicks in place. Others have one which has lint bag rotates left to right as it washes in that same direction. Those you pinch top and bottom together towards the middle of it to release it to clean the lint bag.

I really only use mine fo washing reusable dog diapersr, blankets and pee pads or an occasional prewashing of dusty/muddy pants from construction work or otherwise disgusting stuff out before putting into my frontloader to wash it. Major dog hair clog because we have 4 dogs and are washing fleece blankets full of their hair..

That's why you have to clean it after a few loads. I clean mine with bleach or disinfectant and run it with no clothes in it.

Cleaning it with bleach hasn't a thing to do with preventing clogs. If it's clogged up it will begin to hold sour smell. Bleach may help that but bleach can't fix it.Jyst masks odor temporarily.

I just got my machine on october 7 2020. It worked great til a few days ago. It wont hold water when its washing fully. While its washing by the end of a 6 minute cycle there is no water in the washer at all. Help!!!! I loveddd this machine til this occurred .i dnt know how to fix it.i.might have to get a refund from amazon Im afraid to try to fix that one cuz it may break again and if i reorder it , it may break again But i just want a gd machine that works perfect.
