I had this same problem. It would go to the logo, and then stop. No sound. I dug all through my PlayStation and turns out it was my hard drive. That has helped me for three of my PlayStations that hadn’t worked. They’re not expensive so if nothing else works try this. Worked perfectly for me

Aight so, I was going to follow these steps and all but when I plugged it in everything was working fine again. Had this issue myself. Quit working on Older TV with HDMI but would work on newer monitor. While plugged into newer monitor I went to: Settings > Sound and Screen > RGB settings > Set it to "Limited" > Then plugged back into older 1080p TV HDMI port > (RGB setting reset itself back to Automatic) and it had no more problems. Before I would get a flickering screen, snow, or no signal at all. Hope this helps.

This did not work for me. I am letting you know right now. I thought my ps4 bricked. HERE WAS MY SOLUTION. The issue for me was that somehow DHCP enabled itself or I honestly don't know, but my monitor did not like DHCP and would flash on and off black the whole time. Nothing wrong with connections. The DHCP handshake was not working. Safe mode does not work in this situation either apparently because DHCP is carried on all resolutions. THE SOLUTION: Because I could not see my screen but could hear my ps4, in theory, I coulda guessed how many beeps or whatever through the menu it would take to get to the DHCP setting to turn it off (that was worst case). But I ended up using remote play to connect to my ps4. I at least had to get into my user, which had a pw, but I muscle memory'd it. Once my pc connected to my ps4, I could see it on my computer. Sooo, I went and disabled DHCP and that fixed my issue. I do not know how tf it managed to get enabled or maybe my monitor sh*t the bed, but at least now I have a fully usable system again. Geez, talk about a close call.

If you search it up on KZbin it will tell you but if you don’t want to do that way then sorry man that’s the only way to fix it is using a computer. My method is the closest way to put your ps4 back to normal with Accepting the risk of it going to a black screen again.

I fixed this problem. Screen was completely black. It showed a hdmi signal, but black. It was my tv that for some reason just didn’t work with the ps4. Tried another tv that had worked before. Put the ps4 in safe mode and unplugged the hdmi cable a couple of time. Then it showed the signal, and i changed the resolution to 1080i (not 1080p). That fixed it.

GUYS LISTEN.... the ps4 may not be at fault... sometimes the tv changes its settings after update...go to your tv settings and turn on the hmdi device link...the problem will be solved

I use my computer monitor but it keeps flickering from gray to black but for some reason, it works on the TV. What in the world do I have to do?!

As soon as I pressed Automatic it went back to black screen

Thank you so much step 2 helped me i just unplugged my ps4 HDMI and went through all the HDMI and it worked

Hi everyone what you can do is If it goes into blue death mode (when your screen turns off and when u try to turn it on it flashes blue only) just go into safe mode and update ur current software using (internet) that’s it!
