HOW TO FIX PS4 NO VIDEO SIGNAL BLACK SCREEN HDMI RESOLUTION RESET

PS4 no video signal is easy to fix just hold power button for 7 seconds to enter service menu then select to change resolution 480p 720p 1080p if your TV is 720p choose that setting. Also you can factory restore reset Playstation 4 by holding power button 7 seconds to service menu then select last option- PS4 initialize.

You follow the steps without looking. Hold down the power button for 7 seconds. Press down once and select that option. Press X to confirm. Wait for PS4 to restart, press X. Hopefully that solves your problem.

Cheers. It was actually the tv. Everything else was working fine, Sky, BT, DVD etc except the Ps4. Swapped HDMI cables around and everything still worked except ps4 so I did what you suggested and unplugged TV for 60 seconds and its up and running fine. Can't thank you enough as I was about to pay to get it repaired. 👍

Very helpful. Thanks specifically for instructing on turning off the PS4 by holding down the top button, instead of arbitrarily pulling the cord which may damage it's functionality. "Checking the cable connections" was also sound advice as my specific problem was that HDMI cable was bad. My cats surely have something to do with it. Everyone knows how to get into safe mode however some people’s ps4s can’t get into it.Some ps4s just stay on and the tv saying no signal. I had this problem and I was trying to get it to work for like four hours and I found the solution which was bending the metal strips in the ps4 hdmi port which allowed the hdmi cord to connect to the ps4 and process over the image and sound that everyone is struggling with

terry mcginnis I had the same. I think it probably has to do with the hdcp getting messed up after the security updates. Since the blank screen sound only issue occurs when I split the signal with the hdmi splitter. However I have been able to deal with the issue by unplugging the power cable of the splitter and then hook it up again.

For the people who are having this issue, I also had it,i couldn't even see the safe mode screen, but i read somewhere that if your hdcp(in system settings) is active,it might not recognize the device which is not compatible with the hdcp standart. I went out, plugged it to a different Monitor then deactivated the hdcp and woosh, it worked in my tv at home. That might be the issue

My PS4 SLIM it's stuck on black screen after the PS logo, but is not turning off by itself (blue light) . The PS4 goes into safe mode, but the reset/update/anything do not do anything. As soon as you do it, it comes again into black screen with blue light after the PS LOGO. but still on. Same thing is happening to me. My PS4 pro will display but my 1st gen PS4 won't (even with the same exact cable setup)
