How to FIX PS4 Eject Button not working and Stuck Discs (Easy Method)

For anyone who's tried all options with no luck, read on.. So from one day to the next, my ps4 slim started constantly ejecting any disc I'd insert. Also it would beep a lot then stop. Then start up again. Long story short, nothing I read online helped. So I took it upon myself to remove the bottom part of the system and manually force the internal eject button down with a little screw driver till beeping stopped (underneath the actual black plastic eject button) That fixed my problem and now discs don't pop out on their own, and no constant beeping sound.. but we'll see if it works, or is only a temporary solution. Appreciate all the info in video anyhow!

Well I have been sitting here watching videos about how to eject the disc manually or whatever and dummy me forgot that the game I was TRYING to eject was actually a game that I downloaded. So I fixed my own problem easily because I don't have a disc in there currently. However, the video is very informative and I definitely learned a lot from it.

These are capacitive touch switches. They arent buttons. The power and eject switches shouldnt move at all. You dont need to press them, your finger just needs to touch them. That being said, you do need to make sure the metal connections are touching the plastic switch body (the thin insert that pops out), and the other end of that shiny metal tab that is melted into the case, needs to touch the gold colour sensor pad when the case is closed. I had this eject problem after taking the PS4 apart to clean it. Seems upon reinstall, the metal tab at the gold pad had bent away and wasnt completing the circuit

Playstation changed it. As long is evidence shows that you didn't break your ps by cleaning it, the warranty won't be void.

Looks like the power eject plate he was bending inwards not outwards to the outer case itself

Thanks for the video. I disassembled mine, rubbed the sensor and the inside of the button with some alcohol then it worked

Remove the plug that connects PS4 to source of power and reinsert it after a min. It will solve the issue.

Anyone who can't get disc in/ won't accept disc, try turning off the system, unplug it, push the disc in, turn manual eject screw counter clockwise u til disc comes out, then keep turning that screw counterclockwise some more. Fixed the issue for me now disc's are getting pulled in and read no problem.

How to completely fix the issue! Forgot the temporary solutions and cut a little price sticky tape over the metal sensor that it makes contact with on the motherboard. This will mute the button, it won’t go off again. On the PlayStation go over the disc you want to eject hit options and eject and it will eject the disc. Completely fixes the issue trust me muting the button is so much better you can always remove the tape, clean with isopropyl alcohol and try one of these temporary fixes if you want

the golden light that corresponds to sat this button is working. After any metal - the disc comes out. Although no matter how I bend this contact, which is based on part of the housing, it still does not work and the button itself simply does nothing

If your eject button doesn’t work, you do have the option of ejecting it from the main menu of the ps5. Just hover over your game and press options.

I’m having the same problem but it’s a bit different cause even that I don’t have any disc in it my PS4 well the Eject thingy well when I try to put one of my PS4 game disc in well it doesn’t let me even that there’s nothing in it wish is weird idk if something has fell off inside the PS4 console that might need fixing tighter if it has fell off it happened randomly today and sadly idk no one in my family who would do it and also it’s gonna be under lockdown again in the town and shops
