I should pass note, especially for those to try to customize their controllers: Don't mix Gen 1 Motherboard & L2/R2 boards with Gen 2 Motherboard & L2/R2 boards. They have to be married to each other by gen (you can tell by looking at the back of your controller & reading the last character of the FCC ID: 1 = 1st Gen, A = 2nd Gen). If you happen cross gens, ie Gen 1 L2/R2 boards w/ Gen 2 Motherboard, your controller will cease to function & blink orange three times. You can still use gen 2 motherboards & gen 2 L2/R2 boards to build on a custom Gen 1 shell, but you'll need to obtain the Gen 1 rear bracket for the big pause/keyboard button. And to use the custom L2/R2 buttons, you'll need a Gen 1 housing assembly & merely swap the board & attached gear assembly to that housing. It's literally one clip that's holding the board in place.

How long did that hold out for you? I cleaned my analogue's the other day but it was drifting again after 24hrs.. I threw the pad and had battery problems since hence how I ended up here😂 almost conceded to ordering a new one now anyway my last resort is using the new pad to try get the other one connected back to the console

Hi there. I have a problem with my Ps5 dualsense controller, its always with low battery, even after charging for multiple hours. When i unplug the charger it automatically turns off. Cant even update it cause battery is always low. I tried another battery and its the same, and the battery charges fine on another remote controller. Any thoughts of what it is cause i only can play with a powerbank attached to it? thanks in advance

​@@skye6527It's probably the Ribbon cables they are thin white and blue cables in the controller. If you have an early model they would be dark orange/ brownish colour

Agreed, it's highly unlikely for it to just fall out like that. This was given to me by someone who mentioned they had opened the controller before to try fix something, so they probably didn't push it all the way and it came loose over time. It had me stumped for a while until I opened it.
