Thanks. Before changing the battery I decided to replace usb keyboard with old ps/2 keyboard and I pressed enter on boot prompt and it went normally, then I switched keyboards and everything works fine.

Thanks bro. I came home and woke up with my PC running with fans at full speed out of nowhere (WTF?) and with the boot device error. I thought my Windows hard drive got corrupted and was frustrated that I might have to take it to the repair shop, buy another hard, pirate windows all over again (yarrr). The keyboard was not working for me to enter the BIOS. I did what this video showed - I felt like a monkey doing brain surgery - removed the graphic card and motherboard battery then waited and put them back in. My PC booted just fine afterwards without me having to enter the BIOS and thinker with things. Do you know why this error might've happened? I generally put my PC in standby and it's feeding a lot of peripherals such as a Bluetooth speaker and wireless mouse which was charging. I gather it might've had something to do with the power.

No problem man, glad the video helped! Sometimes computers just crap out on you lol, that's why IT people exist so they can fix these seemingly random errors! For me, this happened because I was messing in my bios. For other people, it just randomly happened. If there was a recent lightning storm in your area, or some other electrical event like an outage or something, and you don't have a surge protector, then that could potentially be the culprit.

If not the drives, it could be the RAM frequency. It's been two years since this happened to me, but it happened to me because I originally was messing with my XMP RAM settings in the bios. Another reason could be a corrupted drive i.e. the motherboard can't read the data on the drive, so it just boots to bios. To rule this out, you could use a spare hard drive/ssd, install windows on it, and confirm it wasn't a corrupted drive.

Also, make sure that your primary drive is the windows boot manager!

Quick question I’m not home right now so I can’t check but is it only after inserting a ssd that you must boot from boot manager first or does that apply to a hdd? Because I just put in my new hdd and I have this error I can get into bios but I don’t know what exactly to do to fix it. I also didn’t try having boot manager first because I didn’t see a video about it, so please tell me if it only applys for a ssd for having boot manager first or if it’s both ssd and hdd. So it sounds like you either didn't install windows properly (or transfer it) to the new device, or you have maybe two windows on two different disks. If you give me more info on what you were trying to do, that would help.

Dang, you messed up pretty bad. The best thing I can think of doing is trying to reinstall windows via a USB. If you can't get to the install windows function on startup, try to reset the motherboard by removing the battery (as shown in the video).

Hmm.. did you turn it back on? Did the PC boot up but the monitor didn't turn on? It could be that the cable connecting the monitor to the pc is messed up or not plugged in all the way. Try those solutions and let me know what happens.

Then your storage device(s) are not connected correctly. Try reconnecting them/making sure they are connected (and are connected in the correct spot).

Okay I thing that I am now missing something, no video can explain that to me. I have 2 desktop computer, by using the same hard drive switching computer, in one box the windows starts with no problem, just as normal, on the other hand, if I take the same drive and put on the other computer box, then that msg comes on the screen that says "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert Boot media in selected boot device and press a key" Okay here is the thing, by using the same drive in different boxes, in one it starts and on the other its fails to start. from the box that refuses to start the windows, I already have changed cables to new ones, and as well as the cables from the other box that can start the drives, and it gives the same error, I changed some settings from the BIOS on the box that can't start the windows on the same drive, and still gives the same problem, I put back the setting and still gives the same issue. The question is, why by using the drive on a different computer it can start, but when I get it back to my box, it gives me that Booting error?

@@VulcanGamingYT no no, i have one drive with the Windows installed in it and two desktop box with the computers parts on it, however only one box has de drive with the windows, and when o take the drive from that box where the windows works perfectly and o put on the other box where there is no drive, gives that error of no media installed or no bootable media, even I I exchange the sata cables from the other boxes following KZbin steps, gives always the same error, but when I put back the drive from where it came from, windows starts normally

​@@flavianojose8423 okay so if the drive does not work for your computer but works with others, a possibility is that you have some sort of faulty equipment. My guess would be the mother board in this case. Another possibility is that the drive itself isn't compatible with the second desktop box. The third and final possibility I can think of is that your second desktop box isn't wired correctly. Or perhaps maybe the drive with Windows on it is somehow corrupting on just the second desktop box. To try and narrow down the problem, try to get your friends' Windows drive and test it out on the second desktop box. Please keep me updated!

Besides delete, there are other buttons that you can press to get into your bios. It all depends on your motherboard. Try f2, f8, f12, and still try delete all at the same time. Spam all of them at the same time when you're supposed to and 99% of the time you should get in your bios.

WOW, am I glad I watched your video. I screwed up my bios boot priority and then my mouse and keyboard wouldn't turn on after reboot. I followed your video to the T and this turned on both peripherals thus giving me access to BIOS again. You can come over to my house and boink my hot sister anytime, bro!
